Where and how to you thank someone for their generousity? I just received my first ever trade package in the mail and was shocked. Sure, I've read the posts about bombs, etc. This was pure kindness! JDouglas sent me everything he promised in the trade proposal, plus a sampler pack of incredible cigars. I was shocked when I opened the ziploc's to see how incredible he was to send me - a first time trader, such a wonderful assortment. They were all super premium sticks too! So, how do you repay this type of kindness? I am open to your suggestions and want to tell all of you what a wonderful experience this has been. JDouglas is my hero!

hey, gents: is it too late for me to get in on this? i'm newbie material both to this board and to cigars in a way.

here's the deal about that: i had my first REAL cigar about six months back, and (being newly disabled and jumping - ha! - through social security hoops not having an income yet) have not had the pesos to plunk down on much to try for most of that time. in november i was able to buy a few cheapie sticks locally and that just reminded me of how much i love the 'gars, so i wanted to learn more, smoke more, etc.

i was able to trade some expertise for cigars, and then the wife managed to get me a humidor and a sampler for the holidays. around that time i found another cigar forum, got on there to learn more and i've received some sticks to try from guys over there. tried 'em, loved 'em, traded a bit, participated in one PIF and am just having a blast getting to know folks, trying new sticks that would have NOT been possible otherwise.

so that's how i'm a "newbie." if it's possible to still hop in here, i now feel like i have enough cigars to be able to do another trade. just sent off my part of 3 private trades, and i should have references soon from those.
