1. I don't have a problem with raising the minimum wage. If you run a small business and can't pay workers a minimum of $10/hr, you are probably a selfish, greedy pig & shouldn't be in business IMO.
2. "Free" healthcare??? Nothing free about it. Let's put everyone except illegals on Medicaid until Medicare kicks in, get used to substandard care, & be done with it. The insurance companies are an incestuous pool of parasites in cahoots with pharma.
3. Don't have a problem with legalization of marijuana anymore. It's probably a gateway drug but make the other drugs legal as well. Take the profits from the cartels. Make whoring legal too. What the hell, we're going there in a handbasket anyway with abortion and decimation of our healthiest with unnecessary foreign interventions.
4. I don't care to make an issue of homosexuality. They should be allowed to do whatever they want provided they don't infringe on mainstream rights. I should have the right to keep them from influencing my kid with degeneracy if I choose.
5. I'm beginning to rethink my opinion of Lincoln from emancipator to political opportunist & fascist tyrant who really couldn't have cared less about slavery, wanted to take away states' rights, & unnecessarily raped the South.

Errr, thats all lovely sir and its great to vent. But this was about the picture above becoming iconic. Or do you think we will become conservative and they will laugh at it 50 years from now.

Yes your point about Lincoln makes mine.

One more question, should we have seniors on dope and what's the political consequence of that?

BTW I was not dismissing your point, if we want to threadjack, your point about insurance companies being the main root of the problem is absolutely spot on and one of the first time that I have seen anyone other than me bring it up.
I agree with point 6 wholeheartedly.

Ok, I'm better now (phew). Thank you geodon.

I think the photo of adroomi is rebelliously juvenile and diminishes his visual message by laying it on too thick- rainbow shirt in gender studies section obviously adulating a person of color... how predictably jejune. He's trying too hard IMO.

Glad you're around, scompay.
Agree or disagree, you're making me feel alive again!!![sarcasm]

Ok, ok, but I'm glad you weren't driven off, my friend.

I can see how it was all perhaps just a juvenile prank. However, in my maturity, I am trying to practice the oriental art of looking at something without preconceived notions. Thereby seeing this as if I know absolutely nothing about who the picture is of. (and I dont). What comes across is something endearing....the western culture champions for the rights of others, more than any other culture.

Confucius says; the problem with ambiguous is that half will take your statement in the unintended way.

Bravo, thats what makes it iconic, it was an outrage few years ago, less of one today, and revolutionary in a few more years. it will displace Che Guevara in the dorms of black gay presidential hopefuls. But even you could not have predicted the popularity of weed, or is that there too.

LOL I should have known it would be front and center...but then again I was trying to think without prejudice.

The picture outside of this forum would have been quite a statement, especially if you had something in it that served as a time stamp of the mentality then, such as McCain's book on valor and character.

Perhaps adroomi fell upon hard times & had to revert back to airplane bathroom attendant. A position he invented I might add.

He was prolly moving forward and then fell by the wayside. It happens. It happened to CROS.
