Should be more like, "link withheld from ANY board to protect the sorce".

You folks can do what you like with your sources, but there are some SERIOUS points to consider, and many of you new folks wouldn't know how to protect your sources to save your life ... and in turn ... screw it up for MANY others.

I've been watching this type of thing go on for many years, and I've seen may sources 'dry-up' quicky because of the barrage of emails and orders they get from those who shovel their addy's out on these boards.

I've even seen them completely stop selling them to the US, because they couldn't keep up with their orders to their 'regular' customers ...

Also, there is the issue that all of a sudden, this particular tobacconist has an influx of orders being exported into the US ... BIG customs 'red-flag' ...

PLEASE folks ... think about this a minute, and I think you will understand what I am saying here ...

Okay, I think some of that may be directed toward me, so I'll respond: "Jane, you ignorant slut."

I understand you want to keep your secret club a secret. I had one in 4th grade with my friends, and we didn't want any new members either. It was easier to feel important that way.

Slim, this info is out there, and people are going to use it, like it or not. There's two ways they can go about it. 1) Google search. Find a merchant. Conduct transaction with no further education. We can all do that Slim. Is that what you want? OR we could 2) Research this particular type of transaction for WELL OVER 1 year. Compile a list of over a dozen potential merchants. Continue to do homework on the process, contacting PRIVATELY via email others who may be experienced in that particular type of transaction. Asking questions. Seeking advice. Making sure we're doing everything the right way.

Wouldn't that be better? It's going to happen (maybe not with me, because I'm not even sure I want to), and if people are left uneducated, what you predict will happen. However, as long as they're going to do it, the best thing is to seek advice from an experienced vet. The more you try to keep your secret club a secret, the worse it'll be.

Now, if you want to stay in your own little secret club, I have a great suggestion: Through the beauty of internet news, I stumbled across a website selling "artwork" created by women squirting paint enemas out of their butts on a canvas. Head on over there, and you would probably be the only one on this board supporting that merchant. Cheers!

Seth, I think you missed Slim's point. It's not a secret club, it's illegal in the U.S. and best kept to private email. The consequences of public discussion of such things is like Slim said. Sure you can find the places on the interenet. It's the World Wide Web, not the U.S. web. We (U.S. citizens) are the only ones in the world prohibited from these activities. Would it be a good idea to promote drug dealers on a public forum? How long do you think they would stay in business? Is there a good public BB where I can research drug smugglers for the best supplier?LOL

Some people get it, Seth Gekko ... and some people don't. Your statement proves that you are the latter ...

You obviously took this personal, but what I stated wasn't directed specifically at you ...

... but you chose to be a jerk about it, so be it ...

... besides, ANY 'experienced vet' would not even think about singling out any one specific retailer for all to have access ...

... because that would definately end that source for all.

Most of these retailers are also limited in how much they can get for retail, because there is no such thing as an endless supply ...

Slim is right as there are ways to aquire ISOM's without announcing it to the entire world! Never know when an email might get to the wrong person or persons!
After all National Security is a caution, not ISOM's!

If you're looking for a merchant who sells Cuban Cigars just look at some of the cigar bulletin boards that have multiple sponsors, like Cigar Weekly. You'll find merchants advertising on the BBS and reviews by folks who have used the merchants. If they are an official Habanos dealer, you'll probably have no problems. Remember!!! You charge the purchase and if it's unsatisfactory, you have recourse with your credit card company.

Be extremely wary of hosting a major box split. I recently heard that a 6-cab split was confiscated by U.S. Customs. The quantity threw up a red flag at customs. The box split host will probably be charged with a felony, because the $$value exceeded $2k.

Buy your cigars from CBid. Smoke the legal stuff that is better quality than 90% of that Commie stuff. And you won't have to look over your shoulder at every black car that drives by your place while you're picking up your UPS package.

And yes, I do smoke a few Cubans every year when I go fishing in Canada. I always come to the same conclusion - they're no better than the PAMs, PANS, Opus X or other super premiums that I can - and do - smoke on a regular basis the other 50 weeks. In fact, I'll take a PAM or an AF Hemingway hands-down over any Cuban I've ever smoked.

Now print this out, grab $1 in change and go get yourself a coffee.

For someone who smokes super premies your ideas for the cost of coffee are a little off in price! LOL

I don't drink the sissy coffees with flavoring, so I can still get a dark-roast large for a buck. At home, of course, I grind my own.
