Are you interested in a box pass, but the contents of the passes you look at are all impossibly good cigars? I mean how can a newbie take out a Bolivar ISOM, an Opus X, or even a PAM when all he/she has to replace it with is a modestly priced smoke?
Well, I am starting a pass of moderate to inexpensive cigars of particular interest to first time passers, although veterans are certainly welcome to enroll. Minimum of 8 to a maximum of 12 participants. Take a maximum of 5 and replace with same. Minimum of rules and maximum of fun, so if you feel you need to leave a super-premium for 2-3 from the pass box, let your conscience be your guide. If you want the premium and leave 2-3, likewise.
I will start with the 25 listed below:
HorsePower by Indian, set of 150, 250,350,450,turbo
5 Vegas torpedo
Evelio
Cacique
CuAvana maddie
Cupido criollo
Gispert torpedo
Gran Habano
Macanudo vintage 1997
Ramon Allones
Astral TVS
La Aurora
Nat Sherman
Macanudo Robust
Dona Flor (Brazilian puro)
La Primadora
La Hoja Selecta maddie
H. Upmann
A. Fuente
Partagas Spanish Rosado
Bock y ca oscuro
No ISOMs or super-prems, but a good selection from mild to wild.
I will provide the initial box, humidification, and mailing labels.
* OPTIONAL CONTEST BONUS * Pick the major league baseball team with the best record as of Sunday morning, May 16, 2004. Tiebreaker: also guess their won-loss percentage. Put 2 cigars into the box labeled "contest" if you want to participate. Just post here to let me know if you're interested. Don't post your team pick, I won't make that public until the end so participants won't be tempted to alter their contest cigars in response to how their picks are faring against the competition. To make it fair, I will let participants know my picks (team and 😵 up front, just so no one thinks I will read all the picks before I make mine.
