In fact, most of the Western world was pointing out that there were no WMDs in Iraq ("freedom fries" anyone?) and anyone with even a minute fraction of a brain cringed when Colin Powell committed career suicide by peddling his boss' bullchit at the UN. Those of us with the capacity for independent thought (admittedly, a minority in today's America) KNEW that Saddam's weapons threat was nonexistent - and guess what, sparky? - we were right!
