tailgator et al: what tax relief are you guys talking about? are you certain this downturn or recession or slowing down is the result of gore growing a beard or clinton getting whatever he got in the oval office. i personally think it can be traced back at least to carter and his dealings, or lack of, with iran.

By Tax relief, I am talking about the 1.3 Trillion that the Democrats cry is Too Much, while simultaneously wimpering that they didn't get enough back this year. As for the "downturn", I never blamed Gore. I also never "blamed" Clinton, other than to say that he had more input into todays economy than Bush has based on time in office. But believe me, I would LOVE to blame both Gore and Clinton if I could!

Slim, listen to Rick on this one issue..."recessions" are not the result of 8-9 months of policy...if you don't believe me, ask your broker....the roots of any economic recession begin about 24 months before the results show. Blaming this "recession" on Bush is like blaming a newborn's blue eyes on the attending physician.
