FACTS
http://www.usaid.gov/iraq/legacyofterror.html
Since the Saddam Hussein regime was overthrown in May, 270 mass graves have been reported. By mid-January, 2004, the number of confirmed sites climbed to fifty-three. Some graves hold a few dozen bodies—their arms lashed together and the bullet holes in the backs of skulls testimony to their execution. Other graves go on for hundreds of meters, densely packed with thousands of bodies.

"We've already discovered just so far the remains of 400,000 people in mass graves," said British Prime Minister Tony Blair on November 20 in London. The United Nations, the U.S. State Department, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch (HRW) all estimate that Saddam Hussein's regime murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent people. "Human Rights Watch estimates that as many as 290,000 Iraqis have been 'disappeared' by the Iraqi government over the past two decades," said the group in a statement in May. "Many of these 'disappeared' are those whose remains are now being unearthed in mass graves all over Iraq."

If these numbers prove accurate, they represent a crime against humanity surpassed only by the Rwandan genocide of 1994, Pol Pot's Cambodian killing fields in the 1970s, and the Nazi Holocaust of World War II.

Yo Rick:

How you LOVE walking on the backs of our dead Warriors.

I guess that's because the closes you came to dying while in the Coast Guard was as an office pinky (REJECTED FROM OFFICER CANDIDATE SCHOOL) cutting your pinky on a piece of paper, while screwing up some Officers records who balled you out for insubordination.

After being here a while I've come to the conclusion that Rick must be at about a 3rd grade reading level. 95% of his posts seem to be of some cartoon featuring very little words. Then without fail someone will post a link with pictureless reading and we receive no response. Rick, there are places that can help. My suggestion would be to call the good people over at Hooked on Phonics. If memory serves me right they can be reached at 1-800-ABCDEFG.

I glad you think of your fellow BOTLs as foes. But as long as I know where you stand. I'm not a big name person on this board at all but i know i would never do business with someone who sees me as a foe.

Derek, Rick's really a good guy.

It's just that he, as well as I (longtime Paleo-Conservative), don't see the sense of wasting even ONE American life for ungrateful muslim savages. Sometimes, I get the feeling that BOTH Bushes had a personal score to settle.

Some day we may rue the day that we didn't focus on our other real enemies, China and Korea.

Remember when the twin towers were attacked the first time in 1993?
It's shameful that the president at the time did not want to risk political capital and do what needed to be done.
Now that we have a leader that makes the tough decisions, the limp d!ck liberals conveniently seem to forget that, Somalia, Kobar towers and the U.S.S. Cole.

There's a price to pay for mamby-pamby liberalism (aka clinton politics), and unfortunately, we're paying for it now.
G.W. Bush may not be the ideal person for the job, I thank God he's man enough to get the job done.

You can't do any better than this?! Come on, take a deap breath and put some effort into it!

I'm a (political) foe I guess, but I manage to type in English and not call you names. So am I now not a (political) foe?! I totally disagree with you, so what (according to you) am I? It would really help your cause (when you yap about how stupid the President is over and over and over) if you could at least get these two things down. It would in my opinion anyway, but of course I guess I'm the 'enemy' here, huh?!

Losing one U.S. life isn't worth saving 100,000 Iraq lives that don't want us there in the first place.

Oh, I forgot, congratulations on using our dead Soldiers and Marines to attempt to further your cause. Tells a lot about you. Don't forget some more pictures of our citizens falling from the towers. That really won you points.

yeah, Because Iraq has anything to do with 911, It doesn't. It's already been proven that Hussan has no connection to Bin Laden. Iraq had no WMD, It's all about the OIL !!!

True. Sadly there will always be some who are against something. You don't get it from the mainstream media, but MOST Iraqis are elated to be free of the horrors of the prior regime. It's an ugly fact (for the US media) but it's true. Tell me though, Al Zarqawi (or however it's spelled) isn't from Iraq, is he? Is the movement he's created over there (which is responsible for the majority of the terrorist acts) comprised mostly of Iraqi citizens or foreign jihad fighters? What nationality are the majority of combatants we kill/capture? Yes, some are Iraqi, but what are the majority? Oh, and which group is he affiliated with (as in terrorist groups)? Just wondering.

Not attacking you in any way here, just wondering if you know the answers.

Lmao!!! Thanks, I've had a long weekend and that gave me a good laugh, I appreciate it!

I'm sure you were joking (I'm assuming you base your opinions on facts, but maybe you don't), but if you're serious I won't continue, it won't be worth my time. We both believe different things.

HEY NOW 428cj quit trying to confuse people with facts!

As for Rick being a "good guy" simply by looking at this post I find that hard to beleive. Not to mention the dozens of others i have seen over the past year. It has been my experience that people who use stats like "1000 and counting" have no feelings for those lives lost. And to compare the lives of our soldiers who have volunteered to protect our country to that of convicted criminals is apauling.

Liberal left spin journalist do not want facts, eh Dan Rather, they just like to spin lies and falicies for the stupid sheep that will buy their bile!

Rick, surely you can do better than to spell Governor with an er!

The one-legged Abu Musab Ai-Zarqawi came from an impoverished Palestinian family residing in Jordan. His Al-Qaeda movement is said to be comprised of Syrian, Saudi, Jordanian (practically synonymous w/Palestinian), Iranian, and Iraqi pigslamic zealots.

Yes, the majority of captured "appear" to be non-Iraqi. However no one knows for sure the entire make-up of his movement.
But, so what? Who are the people providing the hiding places, food, weapons, and emotional support? When you see LARGE groups of villagers turn out to celebrate on the burning corpses of "infidels", where are they from? Are the laughing children imported from Syria as well?

Wonder no more. This is a concerted effort from all of the followers of Pigslam.

I do not know why we are there. But I know that we are not there for the oil. Otherwise, we would have used these $$$ resources by now, instead of allowing them to bear interest, while we waste brave American lives and HARD-EARNED cash for this badly-run adventurism.

Maybe, dubya's sense of revenge and limited intellect sent our troops there. What's he got to lose?

Derek, you really don't know Rick.
I mistakenly felt the same way as you when I was initially reading his posts. If you ever scratch the veneer, you will note that he is really a centrist with a few wild hairs. Then again, if you really hate the man-it's your loss.

it's not about who likes me or hates me.

it's about the way i feel watching my country being driven to ruin by an administration that is not serving the country well.

it's about belittling a man who lost both legs and an arm by claiming it was his own fault. (if you didn't read about this being done by the republicans running against him, too bad, you missed it)

it's about americans getting killed for a cause that was and is wrong.

it's about vietnam all over again. 50,000 dead americans for what? what did those lives accomplish.

it's about destroying the middle class, the people who believed and lived the american dream of working for success.

it's about corporations being allowed to run rampant over the lives of people. how many people lost their life savings in the enron scandle so that a few could live in unearned luxury, and why hasen't ken lay been prosecuted.

it's about the loss of privacy.

it's about a lunatic, who believes calico cats are the sign of the devil, being the chief law enforcement officer in the country. the same man who lost an election to a dead body.

it's about nail clippers and cigar clippers being considered weapons by the mind set of fools.

it's about colors to indicate a level of terror, by the same mind set.

it's about what kind of country you want.
