MOM,
I would have, but I already have an ISOM in my humi, and I've smoked one before. I do appreciate the generous gesture though. That bag was the ISOM bag for newbies that hadn't had one, wasn't it? If not, ignore may rambling. As a general rule, you're always better off if you just ignore me.

Oh KNOFF... 03040370000009239172

MOM... I'm sorry I didn't post it, but I did partake of the wildcard bag. I've never had an ISOM before. I took one of the Ramon Rllones Habanas that were in the bag.

I realized I got the box! I LIKE BOX!!!

Ok, its on the pool table, safe from the dogs.
I'm running out for a little bit, but might get a chance to open it later tonight.

Tim, give me a buzz and lets connect tomorrow night or Wednesday night for the pass.

OK guys, we need a little lesson in packing, heheheee.
Don't take it the wrong way, but loose cigars in a large tupperware isn't a good idea for your future box passes that you start or are in. I've easily fixed the situation by using large zip lock baggies, but not zipping them tight. I also noticed we have six damaged wrappers due to the bouncing around inside the box while in travel mood. The damaged smokes are No. 2,76,114,115,119, & 134. I have put them in a seperate bag for all to see and keep seperate.

And now for my plays:

Takes Puts
Diamond Crown Maximus #2 . . 2003 Camacho Liberty
CAO MX2 . . . . . . . . . . . CAO Anniversaire Extream Belicoso
Gurkha Legend - Robusto . . . .Ashton VSG Sorcerer
CAO Brazilia - Piranha . . . . . CAO Criollo - Conquistador
Padron 1926 #6 . . . . . . . . Padron Anniversary Maduro (PAM) 1964 - Torpedo
Partagas 898 (ISOM) . . . . . . Cohiba lancero (ISOM)

Let me know what you all think, and I will take the box with me to work tomorrow and head over to Tim's for dinner and a smoke, or it will be Wednesday.

Key knof, no offense taken. I'm a newbie doing something a little out of my league. Can you please further explain the issue? Am I supposed to zip each gar by iteself, then zip them in bunches in large baggies?

Thanks for the feedback!

Hmm, if I recall, I thought we also packed the inside of the tupper with foam. Did the gars outgrow this foam and it had to be removed?

there was very little room for foam when it got to me. that thing was pretty full. you and dave will be smoking until you're dead on that one box!

Yeah when it left, it was packed with bubble wrap tightly enough that that shouldn't happen....hopefully none are damaged too bad!! I appreciate your taking care of them Keith!!!

Oh and...uh....nice plays!!! (keep a close eye on thurson.....I am leary of a guy with a woody handling the cigars!! LOL)

Seriously...have a good time guys!!

Yes Dave, there was no buble wrap inside the tupperware when I got it. Not sure how Neal received it or when the packing was removed, there were loose cigars everywhich way in the box, along with the wood box, ouch. I almost took a picture and post it as "Wrong Way to Pack a Box Pass", but just want to use this incedent as a learning process for all. Don't take it as I'm after anyone, but trying to help everyone for future passes.

And to expand on good packing I've seen a couple different ways to pack for a box pass. I liked this one with each cigar getting their own baggie (which I will have to start recycling the baggies since there aren't enough new ones left).
The other way I saw was using blank bands. This system seemed to have more damage to the cigars because of all the extra handling. Anyways, either way it is best to group them together and then place them into a larger ziplock bag. You can either use humi packs or water pillows in each bag. The credo used in this box works too, as long as there is enough bubble wrap around any hard edges so they don't damage the cigars. The same goes for that wood box inside the tupperware.

On that note, what am I suppose to do with those cigars? There were no instructions what that box is for, as well as the Wild Bag from Andrew. I was thinking that Andrew (MoM) was kind enough and I read somewhere that if you wanted to try a ISOM cigar that you could take one. I haven't taken one but there was one looking mighty tasty, yummmm. Or should I leave them all for the host(s)? That host bag is getting mighty full too!

So if there are any extras in a future pass, please write down what we are suppose to do with it. By the time we at the end of the pass get it, our brains might not comprehend what to do with it, heheheee.

OK, I'm stopping now, class is over, LOL.
Again don't take this as I'm jumping on anyone, just giving a little advise for future passes.

Happy Holidays to All!

OOPS, I see feedback from Dave, but not the others.
Shall the box be packed and passed, or do you want more Swisher Sweets added?

Again KNOF, no offense taken. Thanks for the lesson. As far as the MOM ISOM bag, I believe he stipulated if you want one, take one but you have to put something in the host bag in exchange. I wonder if he wants the left-overs from his bag sent back to him.
The box was a grab box from Dave. Take one if you want one scenario. As an afterthought, perhaps the grab box should have been shipped outside the tupperdor with a humi pillow inside of it. I thought about this, but decided there was plenty of room. Didn't think the box would grow 50%. With the host bag, grab box, MOM bag, and the general box, we're probably sitting on over 100 gars!

Oh man, I'm salivating. KNOF, you took a couple I've been eyeing for some time hoping they'd make it here, but that liberty put will do ;)~. Looks like I may get this back before xmas! My wife is anxious to get that camera developed.

Hey Dave. When you get this, before you take your share, could you take some "Box Pass is complete" pictures?
dave97402

Absolutely will take pictures of completed pass!!

It's a shame that the packing didn't remain as it was suppose to, but that's behind us now so we will just have to deal....doesn't sound like there any too banged up are they Keith?

The box with the cigars was stated in the begining....please just take one, no put necessary. Must not have gotten put on the instruction sheet, but was stated on the thread at the begining. Keith...whatever is left of those, take them and add em to your next OPTH shipment.

Again Keith thanks for taking care of packing and stuff for the trip home! Very nice to take care of our baby!! LOL
