nirvana, you just said a whole lot without saying much at all. Let me explain where this thread went downhill. This is where people stopped giving a damn about how you felt.

You mentioned that you were taking people off of your "bombing list" as if you were revoking a privilege that we once had. Do you understand what that may sound like?

Most people here have sent out hundreds of dollars of cigars to people. Most here get joy out of sending those packages. I'll try hard to give a damn about you revoking my right to have you send me your cigars.

I'll try even harder to give a damn for someone who chooses to make a soup opera from a fish picture and the comments that quickly follow.

I don't know how old you are but you look about my age. I think that sucks. I don't want someone associating how old we are with how dramatic you are.

But to sum it up, let me be clear. There are a lot of differences between you and me. None that I am more proud of than how differently we both feel about being on someones "list" or not. Most of us stopped caring about that after the first couple of years.

Nirvana, let me give you a small education on this issue. Here are the facts about the issue you are trying to turn into a witch hunt (know in advanced though that I don't mind being the witch.)

4 to 5 years ago (specifically around 2005) this board possessed a peculiar group of people (some still here). They were simply incredible givers, they actually got off on it. They gave of themselves in ways that left you incapable of returning the favor. I'm talking about spending $200.00 on a bombing run... on postage alone (see the Christmas bombing). I'm talking about filled Diamond Crown humidors that are loaded with cigars that out valued the humidor. Things that left the person without the means to retaliate. I'm not going to give you homework to do or anything but look through the archives around those years for threads mentioning Goody, Slimboli and 18Delta. Whether you find it offensive or not, those guys were monsters at what your are carelessly referring to as your "list". Don't be offended if you can't hang with them, none of us could back then either. It's like a major league baseball player getting upset because he's told that he doesn't play like Joe Dimaggio. This place has a history, if you find that hearing about it offends you than you need to work that out. The fact that for one reason or another those people aren't here anymore (some are) doesn't mean that their kindness is devalued and it certainly is never going to merit having to apologize for bringing it up.

With all of that being said, there have been incredible bombs since that time (see post#113 where you quoted but ignored "hasn't been BUT FOR A HANDFUL...").

I have 2 more hours, you can keep fishing (pun intended) for an apology or you can take me up on the offer of buying a coat, I'll sell you a helluva nice one.

I have never said any RAOKs were not great. I don't know why you think I need a history lesson. There has been unfathomable kindness on these boards since I first joined. That has nothing to do with what I said or am talking about. You just reinstated that you think that a "but only for a HANDFUL". You actually proved me right, not yourself.

I've had RAOK's from Slim, Bloody, Buckwheat, echo4alpha and a number of other brothers that just left my jaw on the floor.

Stuff that was just so thoughtful, or rare, or whatever, that you just had to shake your head in amazement at the generosity.

Oldest Habanos (and the best cigar I have EVER smoked) came from Buckwheat. Bloody sent me a poker chip set that would make most casinos in vegas hang their heads in shame, and Slim has sent me just about every cutter I have, not to mention ashtrays and other gifts... just as an example.

Unreal, some of the brothers here... past and present.

But I digress... this was a blatant threadjacking. My bad.
