Guess which one I drive when I get estimates from contractors?

Like I said in the other post I own two work vehicles a 1 ton truck (13mpg) and one a Geo Metro (43mpg). I now get looks on both ends of the spectrum when I drive the Geo people look at me like poor guy I bet he’s broke as hell, and then when I drive the Vette it’s like damn that’s one hell of a nice ride I wonder what he does for a living. It’s funny and sad in a way but it’s my life.

LOL - that is a bit of a contrast.

I think a stray tumbleweed might scratch it up or plant seeds where you don't want tumbleweeds ahahah

Regardless of which car you drive, people probably say "poor guy" to both. But when they see you in the vette they say, "poor guy. I bet he's an unemployed GM worker...but atleast he got a discount on his car." LOL

ok CE ill tell you what i drive. lets see if its sunny and i feel like a fun day ill take out My 2003 Ducati. or maybe the 2007 Triumph 675. Or if im feeling like i wanna have some fun ill take the 1972 Old cutalss w/455 cid hmmmm maybe if i got the kids ill take the 2004 4x4 montero xls and if im motorin to the gym ill ride in my 2003 toyota solara

Rolex = waste of money I like my Fossil watches I realize they are cheap but they work fine for me.

Sounds to me like you are too concerned with what other people think when you're driving a car.
True, the beat up Geo is a good idea for business reasons, but why do you care what others think when you're not on the job?

I bought the car for my wife and I others are peasants who cares what they think.

Pleeze post a pic of yourself wearing a Fossil Watch(?) sitting behind the wheel of your Vette?

And if you have an inflatable, anatomically correct, life-size, opposite gendered(hopefully), doll, put her (it) behind the wheel so we can get a really good look at your prized possession.

The contrast in vehicles is a decent post.
But in your original paragraph you imagine what people think while you're driving the vette.

I've driven ****box cars/trucks, and I've driven nice shiney cars/trucks.

Never ONCE did I imagine nor even care what others were thinking.

Which begs the question, with all sarcasm put aside, "why do you care"?
