Just give them a 3 month nap and they'll be wonderful. This is pretty common with Mayorgas, I picked up a box of Mayorga Robustos about 5 months ago and they were nasty like that. I simply put them in the bottom of the coolerdor, remembered to open that coolerdor a few times a week to recycle fresh air. Now I've got some very tasty smokes. And someone suggested tossing them? LMAO!

They are not infected! They are young. Just stick them in the coolerador for about 6 months to a year and you won't smell the ammonia any more. Also they just might need to be aired out. I have bought cigars that were celloed, and paper wrapped, and then boxed and celloed again, and wen I smell them for the first time they smell like Mr. Clean. However after letting them sit in the humidor for even an hour or so the smell dissapates and all is right with the world. I had this happen to me lately with some of the Aristoff Black brizilian Maduro Mini Belis. They were plenty old, they just needed to breathe.
