So let me see if I have this straight. Any of the posters on this forum are allowed to post a repsonse to this particualr post EXCEPT adroomi? Is there a logical reason for this or just because you didn't like what he said? Just curious.

Reminds me of the Hubcap/Twin Towers photo creation a while back that got pulled. While I fully support the right to be in bad taste, why is this photo allowed to remain and not the other? Cause it ain't USA?

I wholeheartedly agree that you the right to state your opinion... but, IMO, you do not have the right to tell someone they have to start a new thread to state theirs. You did not state an opinion... you gave an order. Since when are you the moderator of these boards with the self appointed right to tell someone when and how to post? Just curious.

BTW- If you are sick of his posts you don't have to read them. At the top of each post is the persons handle. Easy enough to avoid IMO.

The tsunami was a tragic event, a disaster the likes of which have never before been seen in our time. This however is just a fake pic that has been making the email rounds.

hey people bad taste ain't a crime. i laughed at the pix but then felt a bit uncomfy about it but so what.

but remember we have a bunch of folks on this board that think bad taste or anything contraversial is criminal....

these same people that want to cry foul for this due to massive death and destruction won't cry foul everytime someone posts a pix of a missle fired from a ship at a bunch of muslims. what do you people think happens when the missle hits? the same thing that happened when that wave hit. DEATH

That "wave" is a photoshop job to begin with! This picture has been greatly blown out of proportion and although it is not an actual picture, it is still a scary thing to think about what happened. To compare this to a rocket hitting an enemy target is wrong as usual and the fool who did so, just whines and cries all the time anyway!

Well, obviously I hit a sore spot with you somewhere down the trail. That was probably my intent though anyway. So, to respond to your statements above......

Well, a few neighborhoods actually my friend. I've got plenty of friends in Sidney, and Cairns (oh yeah, and a rental in Cairns without enough insurance). Also an office and staff of just under a hundred folks in Brisbane (many very close friends). Oh, and I almost forgot....my Father and Step-Mum live in Coffs Harbour. Well, that pretty much sums up the entire Pacific coast of OZ for me, so yeah, I guess I'd be upset. If one hit Perth, I'd be upset too, but I don't know anyone there.........I don't think anyway.

Why angry for Phuket you ask? I'm half owner in a scuba operation on the coast and have spent two years of my life there. Not living there now, but still going for visits on a regular (monthly almost) basis. Lost a house in the mess. I won't get into the friends and aquaintances that lost their lives.

Malaysia......my second home (away from the states), and probably some of the best folks I know.

Singapore.....home base

Indonesia....my stomping grounds

Sri Lanka.....lost an ex-girlfriend on 26 Dec

India.....be there again next week.

I've spent the better part of 17 years in Southeast Asia Countryboy, so I guess I have the right to claim knowledge of the land and friends here.

...and before you start saying that I "forgot" about America, I'm back in the states at least once every 45 days or so, usually for at least a week. I've got a pretty large network of family and friends there too, if you can believe that.

If a tidal wave hits Prague tomorrow, though, I won't claim to know folks there, okay? I've never been there.

Big red , the only right thing to do here is to request this thread be pulled. It is extremley insensitive. Just think The Tsuamni Killed almost 100 times more people than died on 9-11 and the property damage is probably 500 hundred times greater. This in countries much less capable of dealing with it than we were.This will affect millions of people for generations to come,people from all over the world were killed there including Americans. Do you really think "i am sorry if i offended some of you" is appropriate. Some mistakes even if done innocently just don't go away that easily. I don't like to preach or ramble but this was not just offensive but digusting. I hope you do the right things to correct the damage.

I don't know Jack.....maybe it should be left up. Anything to make people think is sometimes acceptable. Granted, this is an afterthought, but who knows, maybe just one person will re-think how they do things in the future.
