I actually have a shot glass collection from most of the states. I used to do a lot of traveling but I'm not sure I want to give them up. I would check for doubles but I just packed them all away until I get my new bar built.

......not to knock a good joke, and some good laughs, but this humor is a little sick. Perhaps you should show zorro with a machete slicing through his neck....and attach a .wav file of him pleading and begging for his life.

Don't forget that a couple of really good people were actually killed in that manner just recently. I wonder how their families would feel if they saw this joke?

I do believe that our humor is a defense mechanism and is something to celebrate rather than repress. It's a salve and an acid at the same time, very powerful medicine. Somehow it's been woven into our national psyche and it adds to our strength. We poke fun at our fears. We seem to share this with other nations of British/Celtic heritage. Just an observation.

Why the negative comments about me? Did I say anything rude to you? I simply stated that I somewhat found this picture bothering. That's it. Nothing rude, crude, or otherwise demeaning to you. Just something about me made me wonder why "we" (yes, I said "we") would laugh at it.

I've seen much worse done in the safety and privacy of locked rooms, however doing it on TV would unfortunately turn the world against us and eventually cost more US lives.

Do you remember those pre-"operation Desert Shield" maneauvers we played out with the Iran/Iraq war? I do. I also did my time during Just Cause in Panama, Gothic Serpent in Mogadishu, Uphold Democracy in Haiti (our Haitian Vacation as we called it), Joint Endeavor in Bosnia, and Assured Response in Liberia.

Do you remember all of those ones? I sure do. I won't forget them that's for sure.

There are a couple of different types of people on this board.

some get angry, but then will debate openly and usually both parties come to a new understanding

some get angry, and revert to name calling (ie "liberal", etc)

Some realize that not everyone share's their point of view and instead of getting mad, they question this view logically and in well thought out questions.

Some of the folks that laugh at this photo and criticize me for pretty much "politely" stating that I don't think it's funny, go haywire when someone like Rickamaven posts a photo of flag draped coffins.....why is that? In fact, the outcry was so large on that photo that cbid pulled it from the site. Hummmmm, a photo of flag draped coffins is offensive, but a photo of a "mock" person with a gun to his head that imitates a real life scene we all saw live on tv of a murder of a US citizen isn't? I don't get it.

Yes, I make people angry with my posts. But if I can only just make one (only one) person think a little bit more about things they never thought of before, then some good was done. I don't mean to think like me (no one deserves that punishment), but rather to just think a little....that's all.
