I am considering putting together a new box pass however this one will be a little different from the normal.

The rules for this box pass would go as follows:
I will put in twenty unbanded sticks at various price ranges. Each of them will be numbered and I would keep the master list of the ones I send out.
The price ranges of these sticks will go as follows:
Four in the $0-2 range
Four in the $2-4 range
Eight in the $4-8 range
and four in the $8 range and up.

The next person to receive the box would then select five sticks, and replace those with cigars of equal value
i.e. one in the 0-2
one in the 2-4
two in the 4-8
one in the 8 and up
all of their sticks would also be unbanded and he/she would pass them to the next guy, keeping track of the sticks they put in.

Once the pass has made it back, we will spend the next few months reviewing sticks at our own leisure and revealing names and prices. You may ahve chosen five super premiums, or five cheapies, or a nice mixture of all of them. The idea is to mix up some cigars and do some blind tasting and reviews. This may sound too complicated, but I think it will be fun. I'm looking four around eigth people to participate...this will be my first box pass, let me know.

I have done a couple tastings now with unbanded sticks and have been amazed how much difference knowing what your smoking makes on how I enjoy a cigar! One I didn't think I like...I loved! And a PAM I guessed was a IT LOL

everything is ready to go...all the cigars are chosen, unbended and numbered. I need a couple more people and your snailers so I can figure out the order, box this thing up properly, and send it on its way by the end of the week/beginning next week

The cigars I chose fit exactly into the ranges above and there are everything from short filler seconds, to my one and only ISOM....this should get interesting.

Joe, just as a general guideline, what source do you want us to use to price the sticks? We should probably all be on the same page with this.

Gan.....when I could I used CI prices. For a couple of the cheapies, I had to go somewhere else, and the premos I went somewhere else as well. I figure if you want to throw in an ISOM it is a premie not matter what the cost because of the time and energy put in to getting it. For the other premo (8 dollars and up range) I will e-mail the source of the prices. It may not be the cheapest, but they generally have most of the premium cigars out there.
