I'm sorry to have to make this post... Daswede, aka Steve Larsen, had apparently not come through with three trades he had obligated himself to. The one I am specifically involved in was for a subtantial value of sticks... There has been no e-mail, PM or other communication since the sticks were sent.

I'm sure there must be something going on in Mr. Larsen's personal life for him to just drop off like this. But, IMHO, he has left people hanging and should not be trading cigars with anyone until he makes it right.

sad thing is i bombed the hell out of him about a week before he exited the boards. i thought he was a good guy. oh well, you never know.

I spoke with Steve by phone yesterday afternoon. He said work has been very busy and he hasn't had time to get on the boards. He said he has been using his works e-mail, and he hasn't checked his gmail account in a while. He said he forgot about the trades and was going to make them good. I hope so, and will keep you posted. I encourage the others involved in trades to report as well.

In the mean time - I'm sure there's a logical explanation for his sudden and prolonged exit. He said he would come on and provide it.

He's a young kid who probably just got bored with the hobby. Should have made good with the trades before he decided to drop it though.

hopefully this works out for all parties invloved.

Steve was in the birthday club 05, but didn't come through for the first birthday in January, so I removed him from the club. I haven't heard from him either, so yesssssssssssss, he is banned from anything I have my hands in.

According to one of the later posts at that other site, someone was able to contact him.

i had trouble with steve on a pif, and the problem was he was on other boards not knowing which one was which.. he later made it up after realizing his mistake. not making any excuses cuz i know i was kinda ticked off to since i had to send 2 pifs out in 24hrs. just giving a small glimmer of hope 4 ya.

I reached him by telephone. He said he "forgot" about the trade and was going to send it out that night. I also asked him if everything was okay - he said yes, he's just been busy with work. He said he has not been checking his gmail account, just his work e-mail. He also said he has not been on the boards for a while. I told him others were worried about his because no one has heard from him. He said he would get on the boards and let everyone know he was okay. That was on Tues or Weds eve (03/01 or 03/02).

I will keep you informed as to what happens. I hope it's just a temp thing for him and he comes back to the community.
