i think they are doing other people's thing. they are taking what they see other's doing and expanding on it.

when the beetles grew there hair, so did everyone else. in that case, no harm was done. in this case the affectations are permanent. they are scarred for life. what happens when the fad is over next year or the year after, and the new fad is having your ears reversed so they point backwards.

in this case where will they get a job to support themselves. who would hire them.

i know one should marry someone with similar ideas and tastes as yours, or someone who has different ideas and tastes that you can learn to live with and learn from and love.

i would bet that after they discussed how their tatoos hurt or didn't hurt, they will have nothing to say.

Perhaps they will open their own Body Modificaton Shop. Even if the piercing, branding, tattoo, trend goes away there will be something to replace it.

I wouldn't do that because I plan on working in a corporate environment again, but if that's not their thing than it's fine by me.

hmmm what does the Bible say about judging others??? Oh and how about the one about those in glass houses not throwing stones??? Each of us does what we want to do and there have been many fads that we also indulged in - though maybe not like the two in the picture and yes one day they may regret what they did to their skin, but it is their body to do with what they want. Why condemn them for being different? Aren't we all different in our own ways, maybe not to this extent but in our own ways?? Once again I cannot condemn anyone that is doing no harm to anyone but maybe themselves. If they were hurting others then it would be different, but they aren't so what's the big deal? I don't get it....

i don't care what the bible says; those two are freaks. the bible doesn't dictate my life and opinions, so i guess i'm free to judge at will. yeah, we all do some regrettable stuff, but we all have to pay the consequences of those acts. piercing and tattooing your face will result in social ridicule. why? because to most people, it's just plain stupid. you don't think those two know that? of course, they do. they obviously don't care, or they do care but they do it for that negative attention. either way, they're idiots in my opinion. they've consciously made a decision to disfigure themselves permanently -- well, somewhat permanently.

i'm glad there are really stupid people out there. it gives us slightly stupid people someone to laugh at. life's tough; it's tougher if you're stupid. life has got to be tough for these two.

I do think that this hurts people other than themselves. If they end up with kids, they will suffer. Children are cruel to each other very often, and once their schoolmates get a look at 'ma & pa' watch out. Then tell someone that it doesnt affect anyone else.

Also, most of us look back in time and find that we wish we hadnt done some things and wish we could take them back. This is permanent and limits their opportunities in life. Especially in the business world.

This is just my opinion of course. I'm a business owner and wouldnt take a chance on either one of them.

I can see your point Tranny I just think people shouldn't make fun of other people. I went through a lot of kids making fun of me - why? because I wore glasses from second grade, because I'd rather wear dresses and skirts than jeans, because I was smarter than some people or did well with certain things better than they did. I'm just a tad bit sensitive when it comes to making fun of people because they are different.

Being different and choosing to be different are two totally different situations here.
