Ok ,let me straighten this out, we are all (most of us i should say) americans here right, we love our country, we dont want to live anywhere else and we're proud of it. I am not a millitary guy, but i am glad that they are there to protect our freedom. Having said that i think that differeing opinions is what makes us a great country, that we can disagree with what the political agenda of the day is, I thank God for that freedom everyday, without that we are subjects, not citizens. Just because we disagree, doesn't mean we are bad americans or our favorite overused phrase "liberal" (since when did that become a four letter word) God blesss America land that i ....

What if I think Tipper Gore is cute? Say, Laura Bush looks like she would be mighty warm on a cold night too!

If by "compassion" you mean "hand outs", then yes that is indeed Liberal.

I believe that everyone should have to work in order to live, there is cases where subsidising is neccesary, but i do not belive in giving money to people so that they can lay around and do nothing, that si just a strain on our society.

tailgater & decasere "hand outs", more money is given to corporations than to people who can lay around and drink beer on your tax dollars. There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in
your philosophy

If there was no compassion in the world, who would be left to cry? I'm sure even the omniscient Tailgater has cried once or twice in his life hence the touch of liberal leanings!

Rickmaven, of that i am sure, but i still dont believe that we should give money to people of whatever race or creed who try to work the system to live for free. No matter what your political bendings you HAVE to admit that both parties are run by those who fund them, whether literally or by use of power. corruption runs rampant in the gov.

Do you feel confident in that you are not singularly deficient with an incoherent ability to elucidate a cognizant incongruity supporting your position or do you just feel like we don't understand you at times?

decasere "you HAVE to admit that both parties are run by those who fund them, whether literally or by use of power. corruption runs rampant in the gov." i not only admit it is the core of most of my posts.

Any organization of human beings is going to have a measure of corruption. Any gathering of humanity is seen as an opportunity by the greedy. The majority of Americans are good people who have no interest in the accumulation of wealth and power. The other 1% (I pulled that number out of the air) just like to call attention to themselves. Aint a dink what guys with small ones call their apaloosas?

dink is an old colloquialism we used as kids. it meant a dope, someone not in tune, a smart ass, someone that said things that made no sense. some copy and pastes: "You know, if you find a person that you've never seen before getting in a crop-duster that doesn't belong to you, report it" "'Brie and cheese"
"Our nation must come together to unite" It's very important for folks to understand that when there's more trade, there's more commerce." So when your teachers say, read—you ought to listen to her."
..."Redefining the role of the United States from enablers to keep the peace to enablers to keep the peace from peacekeepers is going to be an assignment."
"a more literate country and a hopefuller country."
"There has to be a wholesale effort against racial profiling, which is illiterate children." "I think we agree, the past is over." "I understand small business growth.I was one." "We ought to make the pie higher." . "[Those are] hyporhetorical questions."
"The question we need to ask: Is our children learning?" and of course ``Lucky me. I hit the trifecta,'' Bush told [Mitch] Daniels shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks. a dink
