I've been on a lot of other cigar boards but none compare to this. The feeling of family, community and, quite frankly, love is truly heart-warming. I've only been here a short time but I really feel that I've found a home. I'm reminded of the first time I got sent to juvy. It was 120 days for, of all things, stealing my 8th grade teacher's purse. The idiot had gone to lunch and left it right on her desk. What a shock to find $625 in it (I think she must have been to the casino the night before or perhaps was about to pay her rent). Anyway, I used the money to buy the entire Metallica CD library as well as some "alternative" smoking materials. I quickly got caught and off I went. At first I was nervous but I eventually made friends with a good group of guys and we made the best of it. I felt a lot of love there. Sometimes I had to take that love by force but the important thing was I had human contact. That was the start of my 17 years in "the system." I'm trying to get over it but I still blame my 8th grade teacher for this. I pray that I don't run into her as I fear I could do something that would put me right back in. So I feel now that I'm among people who are just like me--people who have the same fears, goals, common interests and anger issues. Based on the recent photos from Cfest, it's clear we are not the prettiest bunch. That's really not important though. Regardless of our multiple chins, big swinging chicken arms and questionable hygiene, we are family. Honest, this isn't just the Millers and Vicodin talking. You're really a great bunch of people.
