Wife made some absolutely yumdillyicious peach cobbler tonight. Some things she does quite well and this is definitely one of them. It really was to die for. She invited our neighbors Gene and Judy over to join us for some. They're good people. Judy wore a really tight V-neck t-shirt. Her stunning rack looked absolutely mouth watering. I was struggling to avoid staring at those luscious jugs while eating the cobbler. I don't think the wife or Gene noticed. After Gene and Judy left I did my "duty" with the wife. I wish I could say that while doing so I wasn't thinking about Judy bound tightly in wire ligatures and wearing nothing but a bright red ball gag but I'd be lying (and I hate to lie to friends, especially new ones). Anyway, it was a really good night overall and I wanted to share it with you guys. Before wife went to bed I asked her if it would be okay if I shared her cobbler recipe with my new friends and she was fine with it. So, here it is:

Ingredients
4 cups peeled, sliced peaches
2 cups sugar, divided
1/2 cup water
8 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 1/2 cups milk
Ground cinnamon, optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine the peaches, 1 cup sugar, and water in a saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat.

Put the butter in a 3-quart baking dish and place in oven to melt.

Mix remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, and milk slowly to prevent clumping. Pour mixture over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup. Sprinkle top with ground cinnamon, if using. Batter will rise to top during baking. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.

By the way, I am looking for a really good rhubarb pie recipe. If anyone has one please share.

Warm Regards,
Magwitch
