. . . So, I'm sitting here thinking about my ideas for the 10-race Chase to the Cup Pool (Martin2277, you did it last year, and of course I will defer to you if you intend on doing it again this year) . . .

. . . and I was also thinking about how I am going to limit the weekly race to 1 pool (I mean it this time lol) . . . .

. . . and that got me thinking that maybe a few guys might want to get into a little extra Nascar action - High Stakes style . . . .

. . . right now, I'm just looking for input . . . this isn't an official signup . . . .

. . . but, would anyone be interested in a premo-isom high stake nascar pool . . . maybe about once a month? I'm thinking, we could do it with select races - big ones like Indy . . . . . limit it to about 9 or 10 players - obviously well established traders . . . . and the stakes would be higher end sticks like tributes, vsg, pam, isoms etc . . . .

Are there enough guys willing to part with 5 fancy sticks to make this worthwhile? I think the cigars would have to be sent out ahead of the race, and maybe if we're creative, we can tweak the driver selection process somehow . . . .

. . . I'll still do the normal weekly routine, and like I've said, I have some Killer Ideas for the chase, but this is just a thought I'm throwing around to do something extra for a few races this season . . .

. . . . another idea . . . . . a three race series . . . . kinda like a mini chase . . . . that way, we still have a chance if our driver crashes on lap one . . . .

Here's what I've got . . .

-3 race series: Talledega (5/1), Darlington (5/7) and Richmond (5/14)

-10 players maximum

-We'll earn points each week . . . . point breakdown to follow . . .

-5 top shelf or ISOM's per player . . . . cigars get sent to me during the week before the first race . . . . you must post the cigars you're sending first, in case there's a weak play, we'll let you change it . . . . . and so there's no suspicion of me switching the cigars . . .

-I'm thinking of payout to top 3 players (if we have 10) . . . . maybe 35/10/5 . . . any thoughts? . . . if there's less than ten, we'll only payout 1st and 2nd . . .

-Any tiebreakers will be decided the fourth week, which is the All-Star race . .

-Same procedure for determining drivers, only I don't do it, and someone different does it each week . . . .

-This is not a signup thread . . . . just rounding up interest . . . I'll start a signup Monday night, and it's first come, first served . . . .

-For an idea on cigars, here's what I'll be putting up. . . any questions on a cigar you'd like to include, just post it here, and several of the botls are knowledgeable enough to let you know if it's a good play . . . .

paying 3 players sounds good... my suggestion on the payout would be 25/15/10...

. . . . I think I'll take your idea, and split it with the original, and propose 30-12-8 . . . . . . just want to keep it a little heavy for the winner, however, lets get some votes. . . . if more people are in favor of 25-15-10, I don't mind . . . . .

Oh, and one other thing I didn't mention . . . . The winner gets to choose his winning cigars . . . . .
