Hey, you look good on a bike. Another bike to consider is the Polaris Victory models, they've got some mean and nasty bikes, but a harley is a harley. Safe riding!

That was my first bike too!!

I was going to say that looked like a 440 LTD.
I think mine was the same color as well...before I had it painted.

Mine had fiberglass saddlebags that held a 12 pack each, with ice...Just drive till you find a nice spot and start dinking.

Drive safely, and wear a lot of clothes! You don't want to make all the boys crash : )

Nice bike!!! Don't you mean 20 years to go? Remember, it is better to burn rice than oil.

Wecome to the two wheeled world. The bike suits you. I would suggest getting with some of the locals to find out where a rider course if offered, some valuable info will be gained. Don't know if you're in a state that requires a motorcycle endorsement on your operators liscense, but that would take care of that too.

Most of us started out right where you are now. Take it easy, enjoy your ride, and always watch out for the "cages" that NEVER seem to see you. Live to ride and Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

That will be a great bike to learn with. Especially maintenance. Do yourself a favor and buy a shop manual for it, if you don't already, you will need it. Because if you buy a Harley...

Reminds me of my first bike,
A 1978 Kawasaki KZ400.
Fun Times. My next bike was a 1978 Harley Lowrider. Biggest POS I ever owned. AMF MFugger. My next bike,an 1984 Heritage Classic softtail. I will probably own this bike for the rest of my life. With over 80k miles on it, it still has plenty of power. I can't see ever riding anything else.
Ride Safe.
