I think it is annoying that some of us bid in the start of the auction and follow all the way through,to at the last minute have somebody outbid you that been hidding in the shadows the whole time. I use to buy and sell on ebay and after sniping started i decieded that it wasn' worth it! Does anyone else have these feelings

no. i snipe on ebay, but not here among friends.

all a part of it. i know it sucks to have the rug pulled out from beneath you. i have learned to auto-bid. that way, you can still set a max on what you'll pay. if someone wants to snipe, they'll pay more than they need to. still, i know iknow, that doesn't take away the anger of losing a good auction. but really what can we do besides bitch and moan? but hey, if you'll listen and sympathise with me, i will return the favor!

I've been sniped by two fine BOTL. It made me smile and laugh. It gave me something to give them shi-ite about next time I talked to them.

I only snipe from 8track! LOL Sometimes I don't get home or online until an auction is about to end. So it might seem like sniping. Also keep in mind, the auctions don't close at a set time like ebay. They stay open 5 min (i think it's 5)after last bid is placed. So if you want to pay more you can outbid the sniper. I think you do better bidding your highest price early using auto bid of course. Just my .02

Yeah Ruggy you rat, you sure did make me laugh when you sniped me. You certainly made up for it. I won't mention the other guy that has sniped me. It wouldn't be gentlemanly.

Well it’s a dog-eat-dog world here at cbid… Snipe or be sniped. Truth is, from what I can tell, if you were sniped by one of our regular BOTLs, and were upset, he/she would probably send a couple of the sniped sticks your way as a peace offering. Everyone is pretty cool here.

I get better deals when I snipe. I tried getting in early on havana footlocker humis and ended up driving the price to around $130+. By sniping I got two for around $110 each. Those who want to spend more are invited to bid early and often. I'll continue to snipe.

I snipe only when the price is so low on something I want that it's stupid not to. I was sniped on a Pompeii 150 humi and spent way over what I wanted to but I had a big expense check from my sales job and it was my birthday. In general I don't snipe, but sometimes......

Remember, if they make it hard, just wait for the swelling to go down.
