I know The Big Easy has the French Quarter, but these guys look like they are from the Queer Quarter 🙂

Too funny! The '70s were definitely a strange time. Thank god I was just a kid and can't remember most of it. Although I have seen some pictures of me as a kid. I gotta wonder what drugs my mom was under the influence of when she bought my clothes.

Just kidding, my mom was a 50's mom down to the little apron she wore while doing housework. Maybe it was something in the drinking water during that era?

I'm no expert on masculine good looks, but it appears some recessive genes have taken the upper hand here.

It was the '70s. I don't think you can find a picture of a masculin good looking guy from that era.

jcwbnimble - Did she also wear a string of pearls and high heels like Mrs. Cleaver?

That would have been funny if she had Tuckersdad. But no, high heals and pearls were not part of the ward-drobe from what I remember.

I'm a little worried about CaribbeanSoul. He just "happened" upon this photo, thought about it, felt compelled to share it with everyone.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

....Dance with me, I want to be your partner.

Can't you see the music is just starting?

Night is falling, and I am falling.

Dance with me.

Man I love that song. That's one of my "driving from the restaurant, on the way to have a nightcap on the first date" songs that is predetermined to get you at the minimum a goodnight kiss. Ahhhhh....the younger years.

I had that song, "I keep forgetting" by Michael McDonald, "Biggest Part of Me" by Ambrosia, "True" by Spandau Ballet, and a few others on cassette.......sure to get the mood just right on the drive home.

Looking back I never thought they looked so gay on that album cover. Then again, Leo Sayer looked pretty gay too.........sort of like Richard Simmons.

Adroomi,

What's a cassette? I'm actually old enough to still have a collection of cassette tapes sitting in the garage. I just thought it funny to hear someone talk about them.

I have a 21 yr old nephew and he just gave me the blankest look when I told him my old car had a cassette deck.

Man, I'm gettin' old.

I have Neil Young "Decade" on 8 Track.....among a few others. I was more of the cassette generation though.

Now...if you want to talk "reel to reel" I'm all about that......

Hell my truck still has a cassette deck to this day. The other vehicles have CD players of course but I roll in the truck with at least 100+ cassettes and still record new ones from time to time from CD's. Aint no Orleans in there either BTW...LOL
