These are two evenly matched teams, but Sox are getting all the breaks, must be destiny or the ghost of Shoeless Joe Jackson guiding some of the plays!

Charlie

PS I have heard of all of them as well!!!!!

Ricky you are obviously no baseball fan. You are a wanna be fan. Your knowledge of baseball is no better than your political views.

comparing baseball to politics doesn't work to well.

wannabe? i have tee shirts from the day after the dodgers, managed by walt alston, won the first world series, with a picture of a hobo and the headline from the new york daily news that reads, "WHOSE A BUM"

i have a franklin mint model of ebbets field. i have a wall plaque that has national league champions with a photo of the players.

i have a souvenir base ball in bronze with ebbets field engraved on it. and on the back of a picture of me and my mg taken a few days after i bought the car which i picked up from a dealer right after pee wee reese threw to first on a ground ball, the runner was out and the dodgers beat the yankees 4 - 3.

i have a replica brooklyn shirt and a shirt that was given to me by my son made from the same cloth the dodgers used for their uniforms.

baseball ended for me sep 24, 1957, when my team moved to california to become the los angeles dodgers.

pee wee reese, captain of the dodgers mad $25,000. a year and when fans heard about it, especially kids, we wee surprised. they pay you to play baseball, why? i'll play for nutin.

are you a johnny come lately to baseball, when steroids

were needed to compete for million dollar contracts.

it ain't the same.

"baseball ended for me sep 24, 1957"

If that's true, then why do you shoot your mouth off about something you dont follow anymore? And owning all those items doesnt make you a fan.

In Asia, even if the elder is wrong, the youngster holds his head down when he speaks......out of nothing more if anything than respect for his senior.

I don't know a lot about baseball, but I know a lot about airplanes. I like talking to the old guys about airplanes. They have forgotten more about the stuff that I read about in my airplane periodicals than I'll ever learn.......

I have to agree with both Rick & adroomi.

(I know what you're thinking.)LOL!

Rick, when I was a little boy on Long Island, the Giants had been gone for a short time but I vividly remember the energizing Dodger- Yankee rivalries.

You were either a Dodger (formerly Giant) fan or for the Yankess- no in between.

We pretended to be Maris, Whitey, Mantle, Wills, Pepitone, Koufax, etc. as we played ball.

Guys like Clemente, Cepeda, & Colavito were revered as well.

We loved our heroes and they loved us back.

There was nothing like it.

Nowadays, fuhgetaboutit.
