Votes? Was the question on Michael Moore's website? That would be good numbers for Bush then.

Maybe this is like the last Bush popularity poll one of the big networks did placing Bush at 39% or so. Turns out the people they asked were 56% dems 22% reps

and the rest ind. Which means if he got half the indies(16%) all the reps(22%) he got 1% of the dems. to make 39% sound like his numbers aren’t so bad if you look at it that way….

I think everything that's done is sold to the people by putting the facts in the best light to back up what is being sold. Not only every politician, but every business, church, and charity do it. Every one of us does it in our own lives. Who tells the Mrs., I don't need these cigars, and I have seen them for a better price, but I bought them anyway?

The Democrats are basically saying Bush should have come out and giving every reason for not going to war, and then said he was going anyway?

Hindsight is 20/20. I think that even Bush is saying that the intelligence that they made their decision on was found to be incorrect. My big problem with the Bush administration is their mishandling of the Iraq war right after Saddam’s fall. They didn't secure the country and they have mismanaged a lot of things since then. I believe that Iraq is on a razors edge. Things could go either way. They could end up with a stable government (all be it, not one that we will ultimately be pleased with - i.e. Islamic based) or they could end up with a civil war and everyone will end up Fu**ed. Oh well.

Well tey, by asking for a presidential bj, you admit Bush has done nothing to be impeached for. You are growing, good job!

But by implying Clinton got impeached for getting a bj, it shows you still have a lot to learn. Clinton got impeached for purjury, subjorning the purjury of others, and destroying evidence.

Live and learn.

BW, he's fighting a Vietnam-like, politically correct war.

IMO, the country will eventually be partitioned into Shiite, Sunni, & Kurdish sectors- each one with some autonomy- and then eventually, come apart like Checkoslovakia.

That is, unless another tyrant takes over once we leave.

FYI, I was never convinced that we had to go in there "permanently" & later rebuild their economy at our expense.

We have bigger fish to fry down the road with Korea and China.

Bloody, were not leaving.. we'll have occupying bases there for the next 50 yrs like as in Japan and Germany and South Korea...

but yes the world will probably witness a Civil War in that Country... I wonder what the Souths Flag will look like?

Time is a one directional arrow. Evidence forced us into Afghanistan, the Bush administration forced us into Iraq. Hindsight says maybe we should have kept our powder dry, kept our nose to the wind, and not shot the entire load on the iffy prospect of Iraq. Would/coulda/shoulda don't matter now, the milk's been spilled and it's up to us to clean the mess up.

Yea, maybe a change in leadership would be a good thing, but ,you know, Bush won the last election so se la vie; that's how our system works. Presidents have wide leeway in matters of war so nothing will come of prosecuting the aledged mistakes; use Vietnam as a precedent of example.

Fear, not confidence, is probably what will prevent our nation from seeking different (better?) leadership, but time won't wait around for us to do the one thing or the other. Forward, march.

Pepper, I bet you'd be an interesting guy for herfing but if I had to read a book authored by you to pass a course, I would rather jump off a cliff- head first!!!

You have an interesting mind, just hard to follow.

Were you deprived of food as child?

Nope, but I found that eliminating lunches got rid of my beer belly.

My initial reaction to the intelligence vs. open debate is that, sure, those c*cks*ckers lied; you'd need to be brain dead ... But think about it, since when is it the responsibility of cloak & dagger international negotiations to spill all the beans publically with a scout's honor? I'm against lying, I'm against the Rove administration; but another part of me, observing the disturbing rise in fundamentalist nutjob violence world wide makes me think probably a few US military bases smack dab in the heart of the middle east isn't such a bad idea.

We tax payers choke up 44 Billion for the best secret agency on the planet and they got it dead wrong.

C'mon.

I believe Bush probably believed there was WMD. When the CIA screws it up, he's the guy that has to take the beating I guess.

And adroomi wonders why people are so disinterested in politics.

Next thing you know, Rafeal Palmero won't be tried on purgery charges for lying in front of congress. Yeah yeah, yeah, there's a technicality on that because....

Just two more good reasons to spend more time with family, smoking cigars and find other people that like to laugh.
