I always bring a Louis Prima CD to the weddings on my fathers side (Italian).
And I loved him in that animated Disney Movie, the Junglebook.

Lately it's been mostly new stuff. POD, System of a Down, Chevelle, etc. Linkin Park is still a favorite.

Sinatra was pissed because JFK snubbed him after he remodeled his whole Palm Springs estate including a new helipad for a presidential visit. RFK didn't like Franks mobbed-up friends. Frank was closer to Nancy than Ronnie. Frank played golf with Ford and Agnew in PS. He began life as an FDR Dem. Don't think even Frank would do Eleanor, tho.

All I seem to listen to lately is the Beatles. My teenage wife has been playing Sgt Pepper for a month. Well, she was almost a teen when the Beatles infected us. I prefer Bill Evans.

Louis Prima and Keely Smith were great fun. She was a Buster Keaton deadpan, just the opposite of the wildly extroverted Prima. I think Keely was Cherokee. Cute. Turn the volume up on one of their CDs and pretend you were in Vegas when the boys ran it. Great fun.

eleltea,
judging by your tastes in music, you are a man of many parts. I bought my first Bill Evans Trio album in '67, coincidently, the same time as Sgt. Pepper was released.

Just picked up Peter Gabriel's newest "Up" and a compilation of hits by Louisiana Red.

E-Chick, I definitely never would have guessed.

Staind, Tool, and Deftones for me.

It's gettin' hot in here...

Then I guess Godsmack is for angry amphetimine junkies on espresso.

Touche...

Don't really need the things listed if you listen to Godsmack 😉 you'll be pumped up enough from their energy. They are one of THE best rock bands ever. All of this other spin off stuff is for the birds and potheads...lol!

And I'm not an angry person...maybe it's released as I'm rockin' out, head banging, and dancing to their songs...it can be a real turn on for me. You'll always find it in my cd player.

You can have Beck, Moby, Alanis and Dave Matthews too!

To each his own...and speaking of anger, anyone love Disturbed too?

I also like Bill Evans! I have a weakness for jazz and blues but also have a Texas music bent....go figure!

E-Chick, my friend helped produce Disturbed's first album. They're ok...kind of similar to all the other power-cord bands out there though.

Ok, not lately, BUT...I've seen Mark Chestnutt 3, count 'em THREE times...even was given one of his guitar picks and have an autographed in person cd from him...oh and an autographed cd from Leanne Womack...but I digress

BTW, I saw Godsmack live about 4 times if my mind serves me correctly. Lots of energy, lots of noise, lots of fun. However, no band can out-perform Tool onstate. They are, by far, the best sounding live band out there.

Marla, you're turned on by hardcore music? Go to a Slipknot concert 🙂

No Tool or Slipknot for me...just a good smack...gotta run and check out the Marc Anthony forum...I really do like all music...but my heart's in metal...always knew I was a cold hearted bitch! LOL!

If you like Godsmack...give Sevendust and Chevelle a listen sometime. You may like it.
