The Car: 1967 Triumph Spitfire 4 MKII.
The Cigar: Indian Tabac Super fuerte.
The Triumph is no Corvette to be sure. But it is great fun to drive and easy to work on. This is why I can't spend ALL my spare cash on cigars!

What, driveway repair? You are not very good at it. Maybe that's why it's a hobby.....

Magna, The trans hump in the interior is removeable. It takes about 20 minutes to get that out, maybe another 20 for the trans.

Great car. How do you fit in it? Is it REALLY small or are you REALLY tall because it only comes up to your waist.

The peddles are way up in the front. I gives him more leg room. And there is no top.

xrundog, I just can't tell you how bad I wanted one of those cars when I was a pup ... my first experience with true jealousy came when a man who lived up the hill from us bought a Morgan and let his son (my same age) drive it ... I was absolutely GREEN with envy ... Austin Healy, Triumph (a TR-7 was my hearts desire at the time I got my first driving license), MG and the odd-looking little Cooper were THE sports cars of the time ... And you ... just LOOK at you ... there you are OWNING and driving one ... makes me think I'm just gonna have to break down and go for it after all these years ...

when Corvettes first came out back in the 50s, my grandad wanted one real bad ... my gram told him if he got one, she wouldn't ride in it ... lucky for me, MrsS would be all too happy to ride in one ... thanks to the memories your pic stirs up, I just might have to do it ... whacha think? ... a dark green TR-7??

Steve, Spitfires are everywhere! And parts are easy to come by. Clubs are plentiful too. Mine is at www.nasshq.org. You are in the S.F. area? Got at least a couple members in the area.

Nice ride, but if it is anything like Triumph motorcycles, beware of the Lucas electronics. Britains revenge.
