Daveincincy,
I pay 100% of my healthcare insurance. I'm with Blue Cross/Blue Shield with a $20 copay for $1627 per month, including dental. I have never, nor ever will had ANY help from ANYONE paying for my health insurance.

Who pays for your healthcare?

I assume that's a family plan? I hope.

Damn dude that sucks for you. My employer pays 100% of my heath, vision and dental for me, my wife and 2 children. Why would you not want someone to pay your health insurance? That $hit is expensive!

Exactly. It makes no sense to sound proud that you won't let anyone pay your insurance...as long as you have a job and the company is willing to do that, rather than having someone pay your insurance in the form of welfare because you won't get a job. My insurance is paid for, but I know all the rates, and see the increases, and it still pi$$es me off becuase it effects things in a lot of other areas. And I know that the increases, most times, are NOT justifiable. In most cases, it's just the insurance company saying "another year has passed, we're jacking your rates up 20% (and probably more) just because we can," even though they could probably cut rates by 30% (or more) and still see millions upon millions of dollars in profit.

I would love for someone to pay for my healthcare, bro. I really would love that. That'll never happen though I s'pose.

Should I be angry at your employer? They are certainly getting reduced rates for volume. This savings of course is made up for with increased costs for individuals like me. I suppose I could be angry about that, but then again, then I'd fit in with all these other yea-hoo's.

:)

Reduced rates for volume? LOL I guess that works for some companies. I just haven't figured out who, unless they have like 500+ employees, because I don't think we're getting any breaks in premiums. For the better health plan in our group, it cost almost the same as yours, actually a little more, and that's just for health insurance. It doesn't include vision and dental...plus, our copay is a little more. That's with BCBS..just like you. Maybe BCBS is sticking it to us and passing the savings on to YOU? Because we certainly don't see our premiums as being at a reduced rate. Heck, it's actually cheaper for an individual to get a comparable BCBS policy outside the group plan. So I'm not sure your point makes much sense...at least not in this part of the country.

Dave, have you ever wanted to travel? Yearned to see the open skies?

Ever thought of the potential upside there is to becoming part of something bigger than yourself?

The fabulous field of Flight Attendants or Cabin Crew Members might be for you.

Check your local listings or community colleges for classes.
