Probably ... not that it matters ... the comment was a lame attempt at humor on the part of the very UNfunny comedian Bill Maher turned political pundit who was attempting to deflect attention aimed at one of his idols, Barry Obama (nee Soetoro). His obvious implication is that she's not all that bright.
Fact is, there is no constitutional requirement for a presidential candidate to be a high school graduate. There IS, on the other hand, a requirement for natural-born citizenship ... which Obama apparently cannot document. The so-called Hawaiian document is only a certificate of live birth, something that cannot be used to secure a US passport. More to the point, when Obama was a student at Occidental college (from which release of his transcripts has been blocked). There, when he made successful application for financial aid and was given a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation. To qualify for that fellowship, he claimed Indonesian citizenship.
For the record, I don't believe Palin is qualified to be president. That said, the sad fact of the matter is that she is more qualified than Obama is.
