Drill, Dig, Develop and Mine has nothing to do with the title of the thread.

Use the "EDIT" function.

Polesmoker should be here in a minute saying he's been doing that for years and has refined his on gasoline and supplies it to his own apartments he rents out. He's currently working on an organic farm under his apartments to produce all his veggies and fruits.

I have a critical NEED for a smilie.

I've never been afraid to voice my concern....In person or in the cyberworld.

I've said PLEASE too!

Jack, as a politician (one of the honest ones) and sophisticado bon vivant, man about town, etc. You know that there's more here than meets the eye.

The foreign oil sources may hate us but many of our politicians have developed close relationships & are heavily invested in these same sources. They are not interested in giving up a dime's worth of dividends in order to do the correct thing for our country. You know that. They couldn't care less about $10/gallon gas because they can easily afford it.

We've got the left wing fringe environmentalists to contend with, plus the usual suspects who are heavy into the whole carbon credit/ global warming/ cap and trade scam.

^ That's what I used to believe as well, Dadz, but it's only a small part of the puzzle IMO. Besides, even if true, the fringe environmental & carbon footprint folk are a tiny voting bloc. The average voter doesn't care much for their issues. They usually vote for good speech givers/readers who promise them a (tiny) piece of the pie (politicians already know that). Thus you get Obama... and the foreign connections remain.

Maybe it is the globalists controlling everything.

Maybe because the oil is buried under their tents. Remember the shorter the supply~ the more money for all in the supply pipeline.

of course, we should just ignore the fact that we import more than three times the oil from Canada and Mexico than we do from any other country....... and they conveniently charge us the same prices....

And really, of the top 15 countries that we import from, only two are ones that hate us....

Why give up some good moral highground?

#17 Exactly!

Americans do not have a clue about the energy industry worldwide.

When it comes to gasoline prices, Americans are the most pussified creature on the planet.

I don't think that Jack was referring to Mexico and Canada.

Personally, I think we are too interrelated in our commerce and cultures for hate to foster. sure, there are individual people in each country that hate us, but overall, we have pretty good relations.

Excepting Montreal Canadien fans and Boston Bruin fans. For them, hate runs deeeeeeeeeeeeep
