#17 Exactly!

Americans do not have a clue about the energy industry worldwide.

When it comes to gasoline prices, Americans are the most pussified creature on the planet.

Not only that, but Americans mostly have no clue about currencies. Do you know that spikes in oil prices almost always are related to drops in the value of the US dollar? The value of the US dollar has plummeted since we started having a mostly unfunded military action in Iraq and Afghanistan.

{Note: Nothing I said has any value judgment about whether we should be there or not. I am livid that we are over there and doing it by just adding to the debt. Be there - fine. don't be there - fine. But if you are gonna go there, figure out beforehand where you are gonna pull the monies from to fund it. Like cutting other services. Or raising other revenues. Or seizing oil field profits. SOMETHING!!!!!!!!}

The beauty of fiat currencies is they all race to zero value while pretending to want strong currencies. I do business in three currencies and have to manage hedging them all.

There should have been a war tax and Victory bonds. If we had to pay for it instead of our children, we would never have been there though so it just wasn't practical.
