Not a matter of contracts- it's bidding opportunities- there are few to none because:

a. there's no money
b. mandated sourcing (monopolies) has been set-up (NIB, GSA, DoD emall)
c. no-competes running for years at a time instead of being put up for competitive bidding every year or so

This affects not only government vendors but their subsidiaries (sub contractors), sub sub contractors and so forth down the line as well. Ultimately, it affects us all because it decreases the pool of resources & the competition heats up for a smaller chunk of the pie. That is why there are so many businesses closing their doors. We don't depend on much direct Government business.

PS: Based on the wording of your question, it is obvious you don't understand purchasing. Most Government purchasing for small dollar amounts under 3k (90%+ of small businesess) is done on a credit card NOT contract. The credit card was one of Gore's ideas btw.

I don't know what all the complaining is about.

It is nice under the Obama Cone of Protection. Reminds me a lot of being under the Bush Cone of Protection.

there is enough info on google to demonstrate the second fraud that got bush appointed the second time.

something about the voting records missing in ohio. someone is already in jail from the ohio group responsible for guarding the voting records.

bush was never legally elected to anything except texas, maybe.

The distant hills call to me.
Their rolling waves seduce my heart.
Oh, how I want to graze in their lush valleys.
Oh, how I want to run down their green slopes.
Alas, I cannot.
Damn the electric fence!

Yup. If you go back and read my posts it was pretty clear back when the reason many gave to reelect bush was because he started these wars we should reward him with a second term to see what he does next! It was like watching Jackass 3D

When I disagree with someone I try really hard to hear and actually consider what they are saying. I'm wrong a lot of the time and generally respect others opinions. That said actually listening to someone and giving their view some sense of credibility doesn't mean you have to agree with it. But listening in politics is not a valued concept. We talk at or to people rather than with people. In here thats fencepost which I wear like a badge of honor or is that badger of horror.... I always get the two confused.

That said, I was never on the fence with Cornwallace after the dumb ass child decided to smack the hornets nest to see what would happen without thinking through things. I must admit though, I was totally on board with him, his admin, and his choice of supporting cast up until that time. I actually liked rummy, cheney, condi, powell. They seemed like good choices at the time. So yes I am using hindsight to gauge the suckiness there.... for the first term. For the second... that was clear. We just voted the poop pile back in.

Look, I was a Kool Aid drinker & Republican water bearer for decades myself. I liked most Republicans w/o really delving deeply and recited the party line by rote. At some point, you have to stop doing something that results in no marked improvement for the country after you CAREFULLY peel the onion layers and stop believing each side's talking points.
