Bro,,

are really this dense ?

Binladen has been a non issue in global terrorism since 9-11.

Yes it's good he's dead but at this point it's like catching Nazis in Brazil in the 1960s.He was a wanted criminal and now he's gone.He paid for his crimes. But it won't cause the Murdering Muslims to have an epiphany and sing Kumbaya,,,

Wheel,

I think you are dead wrong in your assertion that Osama has not been a factor. Osama provided the motivation, money, and technical know how to build roadside bombs, IED's, in addition to his intelligence factor.

Will there be another Osama? Not likely. This guys financial means were slowly being cut off since the mid 90's. He was educated and had the charisma to unite a people that are generally impossible to get to agree on anything.

He motivated people that generally believe in "Allah's will". Allah's will is more of a "if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen", phillosophy. Not a proactive, lets force Allah's will stance.

I am glad he is dead. I am thankful that the president acted upon this intelligence. I am certain is has slowed down his the terrorist network and hobbled them. It further allows the intelligence community to focus on other characters in a more covert fashion.

Osama was like the hydra, but we finally got the correct head.

It doesnt matter. Obama was the man in charge when we got osama so he gets the credit. plan and simple. sure, the CIA and whoever else has been working on this for 10 years roughly but its who's driving when you cross the finish line that gets the glory.

I was mildy suprised and pleased with obama's repeated use of God in his speech last night.

This is a nice little quote from out fear...... . less... leader....

"Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan," Obama said. "A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body."

Yes, he directed the whole operation... he deserves all the credit, his military expertise was shown in the execution of the operation....... more like, he gave the go.. that's about it..

What many fail to believe and face is that, no matter who is the leader of a muslim country, they will always have a hatred and lack of tolerance of anyone that is non-mulsim/islamic. The religion does not have a tolerance for other religions, and this is the face of their culture. Anyone who is not such, is an infidel. It's not political with them.. it's culture, a way of life, their civilization that they live in. They get a gun at an early age, and know that most of their food comes from their goat. Will there be another "leader" of terrorist like him.... yes... What's the solution? Who knows... but we need to fix the US. Do we pull troops out of there? Hell no... we are the police of the world and must let them know that they will not bring their ways to our home soil.

"The search is underway for those who were behind these evil acts. I have directed the full resources of our intelligence and law enforcement communities to find those responsible and to bring them to justice. We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them."

George Bush delivered 9/11/01

"Among other measures, I have directed additional security of our airports, and increased Coast Guard patrols of major seaports. The Department of Homeland Security is working closely with the nation's governors to increase armed security at critical facilities across America."

Bush 3/17/03

I suppose Bush directed the whole operations here? Please. He is the President and gives the orders. Desperately trying any way to make Obama less relevent.

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."

Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts, 3/13/02

No outrage, just laughing at how distraught the right wingers are today as they desperately try to give the last administration credit, dismiss this administration all while asking everyone not to be political. So freakin' pitiful and transparent.

Nice cut and cut and cut...

A president never directs an operation. He gives the main go, he may be advised, but its those leaders in our armed Forces that directs it. They choose the personnel to use, they choose the route to take. They ultimately give the order to attack, to wait, to go back. Those are the ones that direct.

Obama may be Commander in Chief, but he does not lead any unit of troops out on the battlefield.

Fuzz, i really havent seen righty running around slamming obama? i give the guy credit, im pleasantly suprised and also pleased with his repeated use of God in his speech. I give obama credit as well as the previous administration. Besides all that, neither administration should really get the credit. the same people are working at the CIA, defense department, navy seals etc that were when bush was in office. nothing changed for them when obama took over.

at the end of the day, obama was the driver when we got him so he gets the credit. end of story. like it, love it, hate it... doesnt matter. But anyone with a brain can realize both sides worked to get one end result for Americans.
