Meeting a politician will normally result in disappointment. I do not recommend it.

The way I see it: Texas is on fire. No one there has any right to claim any other place is hell.

congressmen and senators both have the same problem, after years of people calling them esteemed and my friend they begin to think they know things. they begin to think of themselves as important.

they forget they have been elected by a stupid constituency because they
learned how to talk to these people and what they want to hear.

they sell themselves to the corporations that pay for their reelection campaigns so that they don't have to look for a real job where the boss will yell at them down the hall, "hey, boner, bring that mop back, you missed some spots."

Remember, he used to be proud that he was a "fiscal conservative", and a "social liberal."

He is the prototype for all wanna-be liberals that can't admit (in public) they're liberals.

Oh yeah, the douche thing goes without saying.

i read an article this weekend about him. They had a quote from him and it basically said, that the true reason he turncoat'ed was because another republican challenged him in the primary and he said something to the effect of "i wont let my 30+ years in the senate be ruined by this challenger" and then went democrat. The way it was worded really showed he was concerned about himself and his career, not values. Ill see if i can find it.
