The Alaskan Barbie's stance on special needs children is fine, but she's hardly special for that. Look at all the work the Kennedys have done for 40 years on the issue.

Sarah Palin has done some good work for disabled children. She promised more of this if they won the election.
You read these facts, and instead of accepting them and applauding her, you can't get beyond your contempt for her so you say she isn't special because someone else already did some nice things for the disabled. As if this somehow makes her work less important. That those who have been assisted through her efforts should instead thank the Kennedy family, because afterall THEY helped the disabled first.

I called this viewpoint cynical, and maybe it's not the right word.

I didn't say anything bad about Palin wanting to help disabled children, nothing at all. I did bring up the Kennedys who have done great work with the disabled as well and because of hatred of all things 'left' look at the responses.
