Yes, and I refuse to give them a vote because it's the lesser of 2 evils.

Look at the crop we have up there running for the GOP. What a pathetic bunch of retreads with the same Progressive mantra behind them that Wheel says he hates! Then what does he do? He post an article by a bunch of racists that either see a Paul Presidency as shaking the tree or a vote for a white guy or whatever crazy reason he wants to try to make but he STILL fails to study up on what the man has written.

Good luck Bill. Look around on this forum...there are people here that aren't subscribing to the game anymore that you want to keep on playing. You want to support Progressivism and call it "pragmatic" yet you fail to understand the word even after you had me go look it up. Theory meeting Practice to form a better way? No, you want to keep on voting for the same pigs that have been eating at the taxpayer's trough.

Bangladesh is getting BILLIONS over 5 years! Just keep on printing more money.

Wake up. You've already lost and you don't even know it.

as you know I enjoy tweeking people sometimes, that's all.

But ,I am a pragmatist, and I believe it really won't matter who occupies the White House anymore. Too many people get too much from the Gov't and not enough people pay taxes for anything to change.

I do admire the RP people's wishful thinking,though...

Good luck with the game.

I'm out. done.

Until the entire thing falls flat and people wake up that they've been swindled NOTHING is gonna change in DC.

Robbing Peter to pay Paul and QE XXXVII are what they do. It doesn't matter what party. They BOTH do it. War? They both start them. Entitlements? They both give them away. There's no difference. I'm not being a smartass or tweaking anyone to get a response here. It's the flat out truth.

I am done.

If you cannot see the difference then its a real shame.

That did not happen for Bush Sr., Dole, McLame, and I predict will not happen for Romney. Folks will either stay home (again) or vote for a third party spoiler.

Sure it did. The independents swing an election. Who did the Republicans vote for last time, and afterward say he was no good. Sure the die hards complained, but they still voted for him. The really pissed off people will leave president blank or write someone in, but more will rationalize their vote somehow.

Same is true with most Democratic candidates too. It's the vote for the lesser of two evils. There won't be a third party run that makes a difference this year. Protest votes will be insignificant. Last time it mattered was 20 years ago and a little bit in 2000 as Nader drew away votes from Gore in Florida.

I think that the Democratic party has more die hard water carriers who have a vested interest in maintaining social programs. IMO, the Republican party is dying & giving way to Libertarian and Independents, many of whom have no interest in maintaining the status quo if it has a proven track record of failure in their eyes.

I don't doubt that you do, that's a standard conservative line of thinking. Just like I think there are more religious voters voting for candidates that pander to them instead of actual actions. There are liberals who have no interest in maintaining the status quo too. Occupy movement shows this in one example. The Nader runs another. There is no party label on single issue voting and ignorance of the issues. Hell, I read wrong 'facts' on this board constantly that if used to make a decision (which they aren't) would effect their choice if they didn't believe all the sh*t said about the other party.

I'm don't really have a definitive view point of Paul as a president, some things I like somethings seem like they would work if everything else was working the way it was intended rather than how it is working now. I'm not really a Bush defender either, never have been, but you really have to ignore the obvious not to know most of the people in the potus' orbit hate the idea of who we are as a people and want to put in a system that is ALWAYS filled with corruption and abuse where ever it is installed. BIRDS IN THE SAME FLOCK END UP WITH THE SAME FEATHERS.

Is that for me? The 'you probably don't smoke cigars' thing?

I don't smoke stogies. My favorites are usually made with Nicaraguan tobacco, like Oliva, not the G's though, too mushy. O's and V's are great. Padron good. Tatuaje rarely dissapoints. 25 years ago I was into Arturo Fuente.

Don't smoke stogies? You lost me on that remark. You are rejecting common BOTL colloquialisms and you've been smoking for over 25 years? Oliva Master blend 3 was one of the best cigars I had all of last year, It was just an incredible box I think, I've had others that were not as good.

I had to see if someone in diametrical opposition would like the same STOGIES as me. Also, wanted to see if you were a just here to keep tabs on us. Tell big Sis I said Hi!

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one, Fuzz, because the independent and libertarian folk abandoned the GOP in droves with the aforementioned failed Republican candidates. Many of my buds went with Perot rather than stay with a couple of doddering old, middle of the road, milquetoasts like Bush Sr. & Dole. And when you have Eisenhower kin come forward & endorse Obama instead of McLame... sorry, but you'll have to connect the dots... LOL!!

The Democratic-Republican party was the progenitor of today's multiple choice version of a political system, although it took a few twists an turns to get here.
