Frank Zappa - The Yellow Shark

I was a soft fan back in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, in fact, saw him on my 18th birthday. The Mothers of Invention band included Jean-Luc Ponty and George Duke but didn’t know who they were that night. The only song I can remember from that show is “Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow”.

Some sweet traditional Hawaiian music. Neighbor down the street is having a party with live music and whomever the group is, they’re wonderful!

Rockaway Beach - Starbucks Opus Collection

I didn’t pay any attention to the listing when I searched the library catalog so missed the Starbucks part. I’mma sure I would have requested it, regardless of the SB connection but I did have a “WTF” moment when I looked at the jacket and liner notes.

Nonetheless, I hadn’t listened to the group since my days at the record store so it was great to relive those youthful years.

Hadn't listened to much of them but for some odd reason, I heard a lot of influence from U2.

Wow... I mean, I've always been a fan of Chicago. I did not quite realize how friggin' good Terry Kath was. So sad we lost that guy before he was 32. Damn.
