Btw, Germany, whose economy I don't get (lazy workers w/short work weeks) & produces nothing of any consequence that I know of... my wife remembers them at their "height" back in the 80's when their engineering firms came to Bechtel/USA hat in hand looking for scraps... yes, where was I? Oh yes, Germany voted extreme leftwing as well.

And to be fair to Greece, even though the final outcome is that they reinstalled a socialist government, they split their vote between extreme conservative and extreme left with a half a dozen seats going to the Nazi party. The official "middle of the road" socialist party got the fewest votes btw.

Oh,oh, almost forgot... Sarkozy was also a socialist, a stern socialist but a socialist just the same. He never truly embraced capitalist ideas much like our savior Barry Hussein.

President Obama and François Hollande are totes going to be besties. Kinda like Meghan McCain and Sandra Fluke.

When Obama called to congratulate the French president-elect, he invited him to visit the White House later this month for a lefty gab-fest. They can stay up late reading Marx and Engels while mocking austerity measures and fiscal restraint. Oh, and they’ll have to gossip about Stinky Sarkozy. Good times!

The Twitterverse noted the budding friendship.

So Obama tossed out Churchill but welcomes the new French Socialist president with open arms?

Hollande has been invited to the White House by Obama for dinner, or as I call it, the "Screw the World" summit.

I was listening to a french political commentator yesterday who basically said that the new regime got elected on lots of empty promises and that policy will remain the same more or less.

Sounds about right for democracy.

A German paper described it as" Adieu, election campaign. Bonjour, reality."

I guess they're predicting the French socialist wave of hope & change won't work either!
