The Canadian dollar has been worth more than the USD for quite some time. Canadians are now buying US vacation properties on the cheap with the wealth they appear to have amassed despite governmental policies that most of the John Birch Society clubhouse here would consider maximal Leninism if Obama pushed any similar policies and programs here. The Scandinavian countries also rank quite a bit higher in Education, healthcare, and overall happiness of their populations vs that of the US.

Crony Capitalism and Globalist Colonialist natural resource extraction along with offshoring of millions of manufacturing jobs over the past 20 years has sure done a lot for the middle class of the US.

The only socialism the Republicans are really enthusiastic about is taking tax dollars and re-distributing them to a variety of defense contractors.
