not sure what everyone is celebrating? We always knew he had chemical weapons. He used them often on the kurds in the North. The claims of WMD's ie NUKES is what the big lie was. Centrifuges on the backs on mobile trucks etc was the claim. Had nothing to do with chemical weapons. Keep on dancing though if it makes you happy.

You were never told Iraq didn't have chemical weapons. I don't know why you keep bringing that up. As I said he was known to use them a lot on his own people and our own media reported on it constantly. But what Powell and the rest of the Bush administration said he had to the UN and to the American public, they didn't. Powell even claims now that the most trusted source they used to say these things was a known liar code named curveball because his info was so often wrong. Claims of hidden nuke programs and weaponized biological agents being made in mobile labs just weren't true and they pretty much knew it when they used that as an excuse to go into Iraq. They didn't just say "Saddam has WMD's" they gave details on what exactly he had. Details they apparently just made up. Powell himself calls his "WMD Speech" to the UN a blot on his military record to this day.

It's déjàvu all over again. We went through this when we destroyed the yellow cake.

No apology here on the ginned up war and Powells embarrassing UN speach.

We'll go through this again and again as the bush apologists keep trying to justify the unjustifiable.

by the way my cousins and friends who were over there saw icbms everywhere and trained flying monkeys with vials of anthrax in their bung holes. All saddam had to do is feed them the exlax and send them to the air. God bless gwb.
