Because under the current system, my latest greatest quote is 1800.00, with 5000.00 per person. A crap policy at that. Oh, and that is per month. If it aint broke dont fix it. Its broke!

So the righties answer is that we should make due with crap, or less insurance. At the same time we will be paying twice what the average mortgage is per month? At least Obama tried to tackle this problem, which is more than anyone else has, or will do.

Health insurance companies should be not for profits, that would cure a lot of the ills in the system.

Routine Doc visits were cheap because people paid for them, perscriptions as well etc.
As you said the average family policy now is $900 a month. Why not get a caatstrophic policy and pay out of pocket ( Health Savings Account) for the ocassional visit to the Doc.
