that part I'm sure of,

but my sense of honor (probably foolish pride as well) is bigger than my current ability to properly reciprocate, unless you are into collectible coins, LOL

I've got a number of those, why I keep my addy rather close, don't want harm to come to anyone.

Not Bad my friend. First of all clean up the first two set of leaves. Those bottom leaves are robbing from the other leaves and should not be used. How old are the plants? looks to me about 40 days after you planted them. If so after you clean up the two sets of leaves from the bottom. You have to break of the flower. The first plant is to late and I will tell you how to collect the seed for future plantings and how to store them correctly. Wait a total of 60 day and then pick the first 2 sets which will be your seco(light leaves used for combustion) then wait 7 days for your next set(viso) Which are medium in flavor. Then wait another 7 days and then you will pick (ligero) strong in flavor and thinck in texture. Remember from the bottom up. Lets do this because my fingers arent the best. PM me and I will call you. I dont know what you put into the grown and your seed looks like Criollo98. I also have to tell you how to make a small hanging space etc. I will post a picture now of one of our crops. When I get up to TN. I will have to check it out.

Hope this helps you a little.

Check out the Perdomo DVD. (No I am not trying to sell it) But it has great info on all aspects of cigar making from seed to the final packaging of all Perdomo cigarcdfs. But be aware it is 3+58 minutes long. But if you love cigars and really want to learn. This is it!

All the best.

Great info, thanks NIck, I just did this on a whim, got the plants from these guys,

http://www.newhopeseed.com/tobacco_plants.html .

You are correct it may have been a little longer, been quite a drought for me here this year.

I grew tobacco from seed years ago, I don't really have a set-up to do so right now, and if my back/disc/spinal stenosis allows, I'm gonna try more next year.

I will do that(PM) I hate typing as well, played a little country dumb, but can use the cigar style help, left the flowers on the one plant for seed (a connecticut B-leaf)

better gimme a few years, I gotta feeling that it may need to age, those top leaves are very thick, sticky and mean smelling, hehe.

I've been picking the little flower heads off as they pop out and I'm very sticky afterwards.

I've still got a bunch of dried flower heads... where are the seeds? 😕
Numismaniac

There should be a pod at the base of the dried flower and it will be full of little mustard sized seeds, very, very small
