Innocent life no matter who the parents are is precious and should be protected...

Boy I can just feel the love in this room! Fetuses get to vote in clean air. People have the freedom to drown of their own free will. And raped women get the pleasure of raising and giving visitation rights to the spawn of their rapists! I just want to spring into a Beatles song

"All you need is love....Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah!....."

WGAF about this in an election?

Goober and Mildred?

We're FREAKING BROKE! 16 TRILLION in the hole and you're fretting and wringing your hands about what people's belief system on abortion is?

THIS is a non-issue!

My stance on abortion is IF you want one...PAY FOR IT YOURSELF! I'm not getting one, obviously...so why are MY taxpaying dollars put in a barrel for that?

one link that shows (while now limited) where tax monies are used to fund abortions

http://www.gynpages.com/ACOL/category/medicaid.html

A directory of Abortion Clinics that accept Medicaid

Looks like even though the funding has been drastically limited, Our tax dollars are still able to be used to pay for abortions

I personally am Pro-Life but it is not my place to "legislate" that everyone be pro-life. So by a technicality some would argue I am pro-choice. In reality I am not the person to make your decisions for you.

If any Medicaid program is paying for abortions it is with state only funds not matching federal funds (ffp). Just a fact. I've personally been involved in some of these audits.

Who doesn't want there to be the right to abortion following rape? Just curious (not critical)?

State or fed funds makes a huge difference when it comes to politics. If you know where the funds are you won't waste your time bitching about the wrong politician.

Since there are no fed funds go get your state ledger and see if it's even an issue in your state. Likely not. But if it is state politics is where it's at.

It's not an issue in my state. I looked.

The devil is in the detail.

If your state doesnt spend any money on it (hint most don't) and the Feds don't spend any money in it then you have to target another state. It shouldn't be hard to find the ones to go after.

If we block grant Medicaid it could become more of an issue because the funds presumably lose their identity. Unless you start puttin strings on the money which leads us back to where we are.

I don't want public funds spent on it either.
