My take: Obama is winning on aggression and substance. but he would need to blow Romney out of the water for his campaign to recover from the first debate. This debate won't do it.

On form, Obama is a little better, smoother and more knowledgeable, but that is to be expected on foreign policy. However, he is quipping in too much. He better have some footage of speeches or position papers that support his claims Romney didn't say the things he alleges he did. Over-talking doesn't look good.

Romney tripped up again a couple times by asking Obama questions. Romney simply has a presidential look. Good eye contact with the camera during his closing. Nice la-dee-da closing.

If I were going to cast my vote solely on tonight's debate- not on anything else at all- I would probably vote for Obama. But, in reality, Romney will highly likely win the election.

Much better behavior tonight by both...

Not much I can see thus far for Obama to regain lead unless he can hammer Romney on the auto bailout and clearly regain Ohio.

(One major geopolitical gaff by Romney that left him wide open to be body-slammed and made me laugh was the assertion that Syria is Iran's route to the sea. Um, excuse me, Iran is on the sea, right where all the oil passes through.)

No. Some guy in TX has been refurbishing wheels, but knowingly not adequately repairing their structure. Looks like a major class action against him- and all the dealerships who do business with him. We filed suit today!!!

To be prepared for damages, your business may be under-insured. Presume a drunk employee causes a crash and the 9-year old victim has brain damage and will be in a vegetative state for the rest of his/her life. At least $5 million, unless Texas law lets you off the hook and Medicaid or Medicare pays for the medical expenses.

To be prepared to protect personal assets, look at your insurance as a brick wall. The higher it is, the less incentive someone has to climb over it to take your personal assets. The greater your personal assets are, the bigger that wall
needs to be.

(Each successive $1 million costs less than the one before.

Not the 16+ Trillion dollar national debt...not the constant spreading of US military where we don't belong...not the scams he's perpetrated on the US taxpayers and the unborn by bailing out companies that would've been better served to go through the bankruptcy courts or ending subsidies, the endless apology tour...no...it was the 1st debate?

Please.

This administration will go down in history as the worst ever. Failed policies. Debt. Wars. Rising taxes/ energy costs.

So much promise on the heels of what could be perceived as one of the worst administrations in US history, but because he promised so much and delivered sooo little the blame stops directly with him.

He has even made the Carter Administration look like the Jefferson Administration!

Owedumba screwed himself by acting STUPIDLY!

Interesting strategy. Tell the extreme right what they want to hear to win the nomination, then at the last minute of the general election renounce all of it (actually act like it never happened). It would only work if the extreme right hates your opponent so much they would vote for a ham sammich to beat him. Normally that would deenergize the base (47%?) and cost an election. In this case it very well may be a strategy to win. How can anyone trust him?

Tactically very interesting.....yet at the same time a shame. What a bizaar performance last night. He got his clock cleaned but it probably doesn't matter. Talk about voting present.
