Gorgeous work Tony!!!!!!!!! When we built our house we only cut the timber off the excact footprint of the house. I had a local guy with a sawmill rough cut the hardwood into everything from 1x6 to 2x12 and various lengths. Probably the prettiest of the lot was the lightning struck spalted and wormy hickory that I had planed and used as the wainscoting in our office. Again, beautiful job on the cabinets.

Heheheheh, the contractor really groused about the abuse to his plane. That particular hickory was standing dead from a lightning strike, but it didn't shatter and split. Actually lived for a couple of years after the lightning strike making for some really hard, unique wood.
