Well, I am a Texan. And I have a lot of Gaul . . . .

8track could be on to something here.
But if we want to talk gaul, we need Wheel to weigh in . . .

Wheel is the Texas stereotype most people have.... all hat, no cattle.

There are probable many (a few) Texans that don't fall into the Yo-sodomite Sam stereotype. If they would pitch in and move him to New Mexico or something, it would help the Lone Star reputation.

Potts... there's this fundamental irony in that you've accused me of "immediately not agreeing" with you, in a post where you've tried to disagree with me... when I haven't even made a point myself. It's almost like you don't even read my posts, just scan for a hot-button and argue against it.

So, yes, I will call your post "gibberish" (at least the 2nd part of it, I have no problem with the first few sentences). Your ability to prognosticate that I would call your post gibberish is not a sign of any sort of capability on your part, it's more a symptom of 98.2% of your posts being gibberish...

The ironic part about the irony you pointed out is that it wasn't an accusation, but an insinuation.

You don't post anything without trying to make a point, Victor. Ever read your stuff?

Really?
What point was I trying to make then?

I've stated numerous times in this forum that I support people's rights to own weaponry, probably to a greater extent than most people on this forum (hey, I'm a misanthrope and consider trained monkeys with full-auto weaponry to simply be a combination for a truly entertaining news day)....

So, what point am I trying to make?

I love this.

From the original post:

I think most people in this forum believe in some level of gun control, and abridgment of the 2nd Amendment (although they'll die before admitting it)...

You make a statement absent any sort of facts to back it up, and then allege a bunch of stuff that you also can't prove. You only do that it you are projecting your thoughts and opinions into that amorphus mob that you conjure up and then label the "CBid community."

You have no idea where the true sentiments of a "majority" of the people on the forum lie. The only reason you would have wrote what you wrote is if you were trying to desperately insert your opinion without statuing as such. Otherwise, you wouldn't have resorted to total, idle speculation.

So, I replied in kind.

But hey, let's assume I'm wrong about your motivations. So please, answer for me why you would make a claim that you couldn't prove, and follow it up with another claim that you couldn't prove in any way, shape or form?

The only thing I pointed out was things like due process and the difference between state gun laws and federtal gun laws. Oh, that and a snarky, side-comment about how totally dismissive you are to any thing that challenges the things you believe to be true (which, in many cases, are wholecloth fantasy on your part).

Seriously Victor, I really try to simplify this stuff for you given that you don't have a real firm grasp of histiory, human nature, civics...ethics...and so on. This way I can avoid being condescending when I respond to you (you know, that means I'm talking down to you).

But please, try to keep up. If not for the CBid community, then do it...do it for the children...
