Being our government is fine with Egypts military taking over a democracy, I wonder if they'll feel the same way when it happens to the prez in power.

The precedent appears to be sent. I the Dems win the White House again in 16, the military should take over. Is that correct?

I have a novel idea. How about we get the he11 out of other folk's business? We can't even fix our own problems, yet we think we can fix the world. No wonder so many folk hate us.

But I could care less who likes us. I worry a lot more that space aliens posing as elected officials are trouncing on our -OUR- Constitution while we sit back and do nothing about it.

It is not like it is the first time the USA has backed a military dictatorship over democracy.

We'll have to reap that crop on home soil some day.

So what conditions should be in place to warrant our government to be thrown out by our military?

Look around.

Can we cut the money off now that we all now the nation was toppled by military coup?

In the eyes of most of the world the USA is massively hypocritical, loves meddling in other nations' affairs, and only talks up democracy when convenient. The story told to the homeland is the USA always rides in wearing the white hat but the world knows differently.

The Obama administration refuses to call it a military coup. They're trying to pick the freely elected Muslim Brotherhood government and the military coup at the same time!




The Egyptian Air Force or EAF is the aviation branch of the Egyptian Armed Forces. Currently, the backbone of the EAF is the F-16. The EAF (planes and pilot training) is considered to be the strongest in Africa and one of the strongest in the Middle East. The Mirage 2000 is the other modern interceptor used by the EAF. The Egyptian Air Force has 216 F-16s (plus 20 on order) making it the 4th largest operator of the F-16 in the World. It has about 579 combat aircraft and 149 armed helicopters having 35 Apache's AH-64D as it also continues to fly extensively upgraded MiG-21s, F-7 Skybolts, F-4 Phantoms, Dassault Mirage Vs, and the C-130 Hercules among other planes.

The inventory of the Egyptian armed forces includes equipment from the United States, France, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, and the People's Republic of China. Equipment from the Soviet Union is being progressively replaced by more modern U.S., French, and British equipment, a significant portion of which is built under license in Egypt, such as the M1A2 Abrams tank which makes Egypt the owner of the second largest number of latest generation main battle tanks in the region after Israel, and the second after Syria in case of the older generations.

I guess we're ok with whoever is in charge as long as they keep buying planes & tanks from us..... 🤔

It actually is bought by US taxpayers and then given to Egypt.

Bring the Brotherhood here & make Morsi their non-voting delegate to Congress like Eleanor Holmes Norton.

Better yet, bring the Egyptian military over here. Our Government may not like them but they may need them in the future to prop them up.[ram27bat]
