His words were Empty, a Lame yet successful way to get elected not once....but twice. Until our elected officials begin to write their OWN speeches.....they're empty and worthless IMO. The debt ceiling law should just be repealed. It is a BS law that has never been taken seriously and there is no reason to take it seriously anyway.

The Federal government debt ceiling will be set by the creditors. As long as people/401Ks./pensions.Asians/foreign banks/oil sheiks will loan the USA money at 2.35% interest, there is no debt ceiling. When they want 6-7%, things will be a bit different.
