Yes you can, including any travel expenses, gas, food, and ammo.

Saw lots of rabbit sign, but not one live in the sights. I'm told they are much smaller out here (like squirrell) than compared to what I'm used to seeing in the East.

And sorry Tiger. Don't live in the Commonwealth anymore and there's no ruffled grouse out here. I was hungry and the sage grouse are not endangered or protected.

Those don't look like ruffed grouse. They look like spruce or blue grouse. Don't have either here, so I can't tell for sure. We barely have ruffed grouse here. I have lived here all my life, and have never seen one while hunting. I did see one fly across the road one time when I was working and that is it.

I would love to try hunting for any of the forest grouse somewhere where there actually are some. We have sage grouse (which are endangered so no hunting season), prairie chickens (or pinnated grouse if you roll that way; also below management goal levels so no hunting season), and sharptail grouse (coming off of the fifth hard winter in a row, so numbers are low).

I didn't get out hunti.ng AT ALL this year.
Grouse are my favorite game.....period.
Deer are a pain in the azz to drag, gut, pay $200+ to butcher & balogna fees.....
Rabbits have ticks and fleas and none around...
Absolutely ZERO pheasants in central PA anymore...
Squirrels i shoot on sight and let lay because they try and get in my cabin...
Crows fly too high...
Turkeys walk right up to you in spring and summer then disappear in the fall...

Yep , Grouse hunting is a true outdoorsmens sport and you have to have quick reflexes and good leading aim skills...
I bet you had tons of fun with your daughter....which was the best part of the trip...by far!!
