I don't retrohale. I don't like getting smoke in my nose.
I know my selections are varied. I've bought a lot of 5 packs to try out a... well, a variety. And, it's a well known fact that any one cigar that somebody else likes or dislikes doesn't mean I will like or dislike them.
My main criteria is... does it have an easy draw, lot of smoke, and 'good enough' taste.
Now, I have smoked several brands recently that are a lot better than some of these, but I'm not one to just dismiss the ok smokes.
Tonight I stopped in and smoked a figurado shaped 1844. It lit easy, smoked easy, produced a lot of smoke, tasted good... and so I would put it in the 'good' category. Then I fired up a JdN Fuerte. I haven't had a lot of good luck with those lately. This one started out ok, but after the first third, it wasn't an easy draw and a lot of smoke. It had a good enough flavor, I reckon, but I probably won't be buying any more of those. I have some RP Cargo's that are better.
Some of my favorite smokes lately have been the My Father Le Bijou 1922, the Gurkha Rogue Rascal, the Tatuaje Capa Especial, etc...
Anyway, I'm not trying to sway anybody.... just stating my experience. 😇 Out at the Vets Hall patio, the smoking area, most people smoke cigarettes and a few people smoke one or two cigars a week. I like to smoke 'em one after the other when I'm out there having some beers.
And I like Gurkhas!
